Brady Campaign Furious That Schumer Didn't Push Gun Control, So We Have Another(T)

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) moved quickly to announce some sort of gun control proposal after it was reported that the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence was more than disappointed with the liberal senator’s lack of gusto on the issue of gun control (via the Hill):

"He made a promise to a room full of advocates, leaders, and gun violence victims last fall in New York to bring an expanded background check bill to the floor this year,” said Brady spokesman Brendan Kelly. "With the first quarter down, he hasn't done it.”

Brady is one of the largest gun control groups, but other activists have yet to complain about Schumer.

Schumer has spoken at numerous gun control events, including Brady’s 20th anniversary and its New York Gala. The group hopes to pressure him into leading the charge for expanded background checks.

That was yesterday morning, and by the afternoon—the Hill reported that the senator was going to push another expanded background check bill, which will surely met yet another legislative death for Democrats on this issue. The Brady Campaign directed more than 1,000 calls towards Schumer’s office yesterday.

But, but, but...... How could such a measure fail? Weren't we told be esteemed researcher katy colonoscopy that over 90% of gun owners are in the closet and actually do want stricter/tighter/more stringent infringements on the supposed guarantee to KBA? Wait until amy schmuckster finds out her cousin has been sittin' on his hands.

Brady, VPC, and other lunatic liberals underestimate the support of the Second Amendment.
King George III underestimated the effect of attempting to seize the colonists’ arms and ammunition when he ordered his Redcoats to seize them at Lexington. They found out what the consequences were from the road back to Concord all the way to Yorktown.

Well, push it they will here in NV pretty soon. Haven’t seen the time frame for when nannie bloomers and the mommunitst are gonna start crankin’ in more money to advertise Question 1 on the Nov. ballot. I haven’t been able to see how much money has been raised or spent on defending our rights but I did see that the anti-2nd clowns have already spent over 3 million. Where the heck is our millionaire pro 2nd guy or gal?

For all that I despise Schumer (and measuring this required the invention of new instrumentation), one simply cannot say that the man is politically stupid. He KNOWS that this is a losing issue for Dems. Oh, he’s a true believer and will push little things here and there if he can - but NEVER in an election year, when he knows that it will kill his Party.

Now, should the #NeverTrump RINO traitors succeed in splitting our side and electing Hillary and a bunch of other corrupt weasel politicians (but I repeat myself) to Congress, then EXPECT a truly draconian gun bill to be proposed, with Upchuck Schemer as the Senate sponsor. I don’t like the traitorous sumbitch, but he is as predictable as the Sun rising in the East every day.

That should go without saying...but for the last several decades, our treasonous would-be dictators have been largely ignoring the BOR (and most of the rest of the Constitution), so we NEED to say it, loud and clear, with what we purchase as well as with our mouths, pens and keyboards.

The BOR was passed as a single body of law, on the promise of those proposing the then-new Constitution, as a way to alleviate the fear that many people and states had that the fed.gov would become too powerful and too overbearing. It was a necessary pre-condition to the passage of the Constitution, and if any of its protections are voided out, then the entire social contract is simply gone. It’ll be time to replace our government, for the very reasons penned in the Declaration of Independence.

You beat me to this one. Yeah, push all you want, right up until November. Make it loud. Tie it to Hillary. Oh, heck yeah.

Too busy buying politicians for the upcoming (s)elections? From what I remember there wasn’t a whole lot of money spent in OR to fight the UBC referendum by any of the “gun rights” orgs. And it passed. Thanks porkland libs. So, it’ll likely pass in NV this Nov and take effect 1/1/2017. Thanks vegas libs. Ig-nore!

The $hi+ eating grin tells you why he wants to ban them all. He knows he’s a nut and shouldn’t have one.
