Clinton: I'd put Bill 'in charge of revitalizing the economy'
The Hill ^ | May 15, 2016 | Jessie Hellmann

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is beginning to hint at what role her husband, former President Bill Clinton, could have in her administration if elected president.

At a campaign stop in Fort Mitchell, Ky., Clinton said her husband would be "in charge of revitalizing the economy."

Clinton often boasts about her husbands economic record on the campaign trail, leaning heavily on his record of raising wages and creating jobs.

"The economy does better when you have a Democrat in the White House," Clinton said at the Oct. 13 debate.

Clinton said something similar at a campaign event in early May, saying she would bring him out of retirement to create jobs.

"He's got more ideas a minute than anybody I know," Clinton said. "Gotta put people back to work and make it happen. So we're going to give it all we've got, absolute full-in 100 percent effort, because I worry we won't recognize our country if we don't do this."

Next she will be claiming a co-presidency, if elected.

“Clinton often boasts about her husbands economic record on the campaign trail, leaning heavily on his record of raising wages and creating jobs.”

Someone should ask her if that was before or after “NAFTA”?

“The economy does better when you have a Democrat in the White House,”

He was lucky to have Newt Gignrich and the 104th Congress.

”””“The economy does better when you have a Democrat in the White House,” Clinton said at the Oct. 13 debate. “

Whose economy does better? Certainly not ours. When I look at Clinton, one acronym comes to mind..NAFTA.

Some $6 billion of State Department funding disappeared while Clinton was SoS.

If she can’t manage a Department’s funding without mishandling such a large chunk, how does she expect to handle a national budget of $Trillions?

The economy under Bill Clinton may have looked good for many reasons including the creative accounting of Arthur Anderson, but people need to look at Bill Clinton today. He is a very ill man likely with tertiary syphilis. He does have the ability to control his own movements today.

The guy looks like he is close to death, and has the vague look of some one in a lost world...say, the starts of mental dementia.

This Nation has had more then enough of both Clinton’s.

Investigate the Foundation and they both will go to jail...and they can take the daughter with them...

The recession was over before Clinton took office and was back before he left. He left behind the dot.com bubble and the accounting scandals. Mainly though he was constrained, in terms of taxes and spending, by 6 years of a Republican-controlled congress and did not mess up what he was given that much.

What he inherited was a world with no significant military opposition, an intact industrial base, and low (compared to today) immigration. What he left was an ascendant China, Putin, Osama bin Laden—all of whom required increased defense spending. He left a gutted industrial base, increased low-skill immigration, and ushered in a new focus on chasing after bubbles instead of actually making things.

What he would be coming into this time would not be good times that Reagan left; what he would be coming into this time is the mess he made.

Reaganomics I understand—theories of Milton Freedman and Arthur Laffer, the fed policies of Volcker, specific legislation by Kemp and others. Even if one does not agree with Reaganonimcs, it is at least something definable. Things you can point to. What, exactly, was Clintonomics? Have the lapdog media terrify people that a mild, cyclic, recession was the new great depression, and then give all the credit to you when it is gone before even taking office? And then coast on that for the next eight years and leave the bill to someone else? Is not even an option this time, we are coasting to perdition.

“There’s only two things Bill is good at and the second one is con artistry.”

And at his age and looking rather washed out he is probably no longer good at the first, snorting coke.
