Over the past couple of days, some Hillary Clinton critics have complained over the way her campaign has described the FBI’s probe into her private email server. Clinton and her campaign have called the probe a "security inquiry" regarding information stored on the server, as opposed to a criminal probe.
"I say what I have said now for many, many months: It's a security inquiry," she said on CBS May 8.
Here’s what we know about the investigation so far.
The FBI is conducting an investigation. (It’s the Federal Bureau of Investigation, after all.)
But on May 11, reporters met with FBI Director James Comey, and he said he is not familiar with the term "security inquiry." Instead, he said, "we're conducting an investigation. That's what we do."
So is it an "inquiry" or is it an "investigation"? While Clinton might shy away from the word "investigation," it is truly a distinction without a difference. Inquiry is just another word for investigation.

But of course, Clinton’s actions are clearly front-and-center in the FBI investigation. Based on her knowledge of how classified information mishandling cases proceed, and her understanding of public reports about Clinton’s role in the email setup, Glasser said the FBI is very likely looking at Clinton specifically.
"My experience tells me that Hillary Clinton is a subject of a criminal investigation," Glasser said.
"If this thing was dead on arrival, nobody would be willing to keep this thing going," he said.

I don’t know why anbody thought this was going anywhere.
The first rule in DC is that the Ruling Class is not subject to the laws the rest of us are.

Surely you don’t believe the FBI would post the findings of their investigation in the daily papers, do you? No police agency does.
Surely I expect by now they should have the evidence to get at least one conviction, which would be plenty.

Clinton is a congenital liar. I’ll bet you can’t find any evidence of her using that phrase more than a week back.
Her stock position from months back, was that, “emails are being investigated”.
I really believe that the cover-up is going to be successful. The only way Hillary will face justice is if Trump is elected. He’s not going to just let it go, the way Dubya let slick willy and the hildabeast go.

Perhaps for you and I, but we’re talking about HRC here, who’s a member of a rare and protected class of political royalty.
It’s going to take mountains of incontrovertible evidence to make an unassailable, ironclad case against her. Comey and the FBI have to turn over a case so compelling, not even Obama’s DOJ can fail to prosecute.
That is why this is taking so long.

I’ve been watching a lot of British TV where Inspector Morse and others conduct murder inquiries.
Comey said a month or so ago that the investigation should wrap by the end of May.
I say watch the movement of the Bidens - Jill appearing on Jeopardy (of all places) as a question presenter just last week to cheers galore from audience. (looked silly to me).
Joe talking about who his VP would be “if he had run.” I think this has been planned w Obama since last year. Frail old Joe not wanting to run in grueling primaries can be ushered in with his VP pick Lizzie Warren and save the day at the Dem convention.

I think they have found out some of the ILLEGAL stuff that the Clinton Crime Family Slush Fund is all about!!
I think it is taking so long because they want to justify why they DIDN’T recommend a prosecution.
It’s what I’ve thought all along.....however Bernie has thrown a monkey wrench into the deal having gotten so many WINS under his belt......they have to think how to get rid of him so Slow Joe has a cake walk.
Bill’s lucky that he doesn’t have to eat Hillary’s cooking. His death would be a big sympathy boost for her.
This all comes down to AG Lynch. Her boss has already told her that no crime was committed.
1. Obama Plan B goes into effect.
2. Super Delegates told to vote for Anybody But Hillary or Bernie on the First Ballot.
3. Hillary doesn't have the delegates for a first ballot victory.
4. Second Ballot: Super Delegates vote for Joe Biden or (Secret Obama Choice for the Next President of the United States) "Somebody Else" besides Hillary or Bernie.
5. "Somebody Else" gets the nomination on the nth Ballot.
Could happen. Could be the plan. Could be the reason Bernie is still in the race.
Good point on Bernie as the fly in the ointment - they can’t have Hil and Bern both dropping out “to spend more time with the family” can they.
Haven’t been following Bernie that closely - but I don’t think he could get enough delegates even if he wins the remaining primaries. So someone’s got to take a “fall - a literal fall.
Simply put, she clearly and self-admittedly ("Sorry about that.") violated the Public Records Act of 1950 when she failed "to take care of" public records, regardless of her intent, her motive, or her reasons - it doesn't matter. She intentionally kept many public records outside of the official means and methods to maintain those official public records - plain and simple.
Besides criminal penalties, she is also prevented, if convicted of violating the Public Records Act of 1950, from ever holding public office.
The perfect is the enemy of the very simple - perhaps Comey wants to 'kill the queen' and throw it all at her at once.
All I care about is that she has her security clearance lifted and prevented from holding office. Forget about orange jumpsuits, although that would be great, but just get her off the public stage. They could always file follow-on charges once this first one is addressed.

It’s an open secret that there’s no love lost between the Obamas and the Clintons. Zero probably views them as darkly as he does the political right. Maybe even more-so.
In my view, it’s why Obama hasn’t exerted any undue influence behind the scenes to waylay the FBI investigation, and has not pushed back against the growing media narrative about HRC’s security breaches with anything like his normal fervor under such circumstances. He said more in public to defend Trayvon Martin, than he has for Hillary Clinton.
I think Obie is actually hoping that Comey builds an indestructible case against Hillary, so that he and his DOJ can appear helpless to save her. That will free them to publicly express emotional support for her, while happily watching her hang by the neck.
I really don’t know if that’s been the plan all along, but it appears that it’s now the only way forward for them, seeing Hillary’s plummeting poll numbers.
Lest we not forget, the deleting of 50,000 emails, once this “inquiry” started. That’s a lot of obstruction and destruction of evidence. “Like....with a cloth?”
