Trump won’t be beholden to anyone. He has said too many times that he is working for We the People.

“This can only hurt Trump.”

How so? You have Arab governments giving to the Clinton Foundation for favors. I think that hurts Hillary way, way more.

“I’m ready to donate.”

Me too. I have already helped in the primary by purchasing items from the Trump store.

“Adelson opposes the US wall.”

Anything to back that up with?

Good. Now that he is the nominee, time for big money to get behind him to beat the Democrats.

And it is no secret that Trump is in favor of the wall

So if he wants no wall, he should support Hillary

However no candidate is 100% perfect and even Adelson knows that. Maybe he likes the tax plan better?

It’s always fun to watch the Oligarchs pick our leaders.

You must've just woken up from an 11-month sleep. While you were sleeping, the oligarchs tried desperately to prevent Trump from winning the GOP nomination. These oligarchs failed.

Trump has staked his Presidency on “the wall”. Adelson’s opinion is worth as much as anybody else’s. IOW, not at all.

Doesn’t matter, the Wall might not be the crucial issue to Adelson.

A few Trump people need to have a “heart-to-heart” talk with the Koch brothers.

I think those brothers’ first mistake was pronouncing their name like the cola drink. Around these parts, there was a pretty important manufacturing guy with the same spelling who pronounced it rhyming with duck. And the former mayor of NYC pronounced it rhyming with scotch. For what that may be worth.

Really? How do you know? If you can make these kinds of predictions, you should go to Vegas.

Regardless, based on this thread, I'm not sure it's a wise move either, but many of us have been wrong before about Trump's strategies.

Interesting if true and if actually occurs. At a minimum, this should signal to soon-to-be-primaried Ryan that his missed his opportunity to get on board.

I’m ready to donate.

I'm doing the same. Trump should solicit small donations from the general population to help with the general election campaign. As Bill Still pointed out in a recent video, 8 million Americans donating $125 (something well within reach of many) is a $1 billion war chest with zero strings attached.

He (and we) can do it.

And what will Mr. Adelson want for his generous contribution? He isn't doing this without a quid pro quo.

When you need a billion dollars to compete, there is no way to be free from special interests. Most knew this from the beginning but many still try to deny this fact.

I’m a Trump voter. The only person I would vote for, period. But the money in politics thing is obscene, and will only lead to bad things.

Correct! A huge donation like Adelson’s has to be given via super-pacs.

I’m going to send Trump a donation right after I donate to the Freepathon. He’s going to need all of our help to pay for his general election campaign.
