Mixed emotions. I see big money from an Establishment guy going to support Trump, and this says that acceptance has begun to win the day. Also, the money will help fight the Dem superPAC money. OTOH, the campaign has been all about the people, not special interest groups.

I’m OK with this if Trump comes out and says that he will only accept small donations - no $100,000/plate dinners and such - but also says that he can’t stop people who want him in office from donating to PACs. He could also urge the PACs to use the money to fight Dems down-ticket. That would diffuse the criticism of taking big money while also earning some loyalty/support from Congressional Pubbies.

Adelson’s Freedom’s Watch group has some questionable “issues”. For example, working towards legal gun registration.

“This can only hurt Trump.”

Early on, Trump was asked if he would finance his general election run if he won the nomination. He said he expected the RNC to finance it, which, of course, is only logical.

It has to go to a PAC. No one can donate more than about $2,000 to a candidate. No candidate can control what a PAC does - not legally.

Hurt Trump? Not at all! THINKING PEOPLE KNOW the General Election is going to take hundreds of millions in order to be victorious. Hillary has a tremendous war chest. You don’t carry a slingshot going to battle with sharpshooters. Trump’s war chest should be contributed to by EVERY AMERICAN who believes in our NATION STATE! This election is the deciding factor for whether we survive as a country, or whether we are absorbed into the blob of a Global dictatorship in which we have NO SOVEREIGNTY! There will be no second chance. This is it, people. We win or lose our country with this election. Trump MUST win! He is the ONLY one who loves and believes in AMERICA.

Understood, but Trump criticized such arrangements during the primary.

Remember??

It will be necessary to spend hundreds of millions to counter the attack ads from the left and to inform the low-information voters about Trump and his positions. As Scott Adams has shown, it’s quite easy to convert people to become Trump supporters, once you present the information to them in the right way.

Adelson was the major supporter of Newt eight years ago, definitely needed to to WIN!

Wrong.
WE have picked Trump as our leader out of a cast of 17.
WE have decided Trump is our standard bearer for the future of America.
The primary election is for all intents and purposes finished.
NOW, We the people must support Trump and it’s going to take big bucks to fight the Clinton Cabal.
We should encourage EVERYONE to back Trump with whatever they can muster. Small and Large.
This is an election to PRESERVE AMERICA and make her great again.

By law, the limit is a couple of thousand by one individual to the campaign. He has to donate the money to Superpacs supporting Trump for it to be legal.

Now if we can just bring the Koch brothers in from the cold....

That would probably make Harry Reid’s head explode, whether it is duct taped or not.

Yes, and I agree. But what can be done? Adelson has the right to spend his own money as he sees fit.

he great mass of people will hear this and will suddenly begin to doubt Trump commitment to building the wall.

if Adelson really wanted to help Trump he would work behind the scenes and never let out a single peep about supporting him.

just doesn’t make sense.

this isn’t shrewd.
.......................................................

you would rather see Trump follow Hillary’s lead and lie to the people, hiding her illegal funding?

Hope Trump stands firm against these globalists like Adelson. But with the Finance laws allowing such obscene donations perhaps the only hope is thatTrump will ignore and oppose Adelson’s pac recipients which will probably be used to sabatoge Trump.

This can only hurt Trump.

Nonsense. Presidential campaigns cost a lot of money.

Trump did incredibly well during the primary cycle by self-funding.

That's simply not something that can be sustained during the general election cycle.

We have to beat Hillary no matter how much money it takes to do so.

Vote Trump!

Adelson can’t make Trump abandon the wall. Trump has said it and Trump will do it, one way or the other.

“It’s always fun to watch the Oligarchs pick our leaders.”

It seems to me that we the people had a big say in the choosing of Trump. Running a Presidential campaign takes a ton of money. Sheldon’s money is right by me. By the way who do you support and did they receive oligarchs money?

Not so much no. Adelson is a private citizen who can donate whatever he wants to any PAC he wants or to the RNC directly.

He cannot donate that much to the Trump campaign.

Vote Trump 2016
