US Congress moves closer to requiring draft registration for women

A US Senate committee has approved legislation that would require American women to register for the military draft, setting the stage for a fight in Congress over the historic shift in policy later this year.

The Senate Armed Services Committee approved the requirement late on Thursday, as an amendment to the $602 billion National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA. The House of Representatives Armed Services Committee approved a similar amendment late last month.

Of course. Since nearly all of them have never served and didn't when they could, it is only fitting in their eyes that women be subject to the same requirement as men.

I suppose it can be compared to the past when men of means could pay another man to take their place in military service.

If women can vote, can hold public office, including presidency, they should have the same obligation and risks as do men, thus, yes, make them register for the draft. We don’t have a draft but registration of everyone reaching 18 seems reasonable. Otherwise, take back their vote, don’t let them run for office, including the presidency. Fair is fair.

I would say this might put HRC in an interesting position. Has she announced her position on this yet?

The Business Insider article has a picture with the caption "... a motor transportation operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 7, carries a .50-caliber machine receiving group..."

The Browning M2 .50 Caliber Machine Gun weighs 84 lbs without mounting brackets or ammunition. Just the receiving group probably weighs 40 lbs. The suspiciously-cropped posed photo of a petite female Marine makes one wonder if she is supporting the entire weight with her hands.

Since gender is assigned at birth a guy can avoid the registration by claiming to be a woman.
However, a woman who has a dick grafted now is a man and is violating the law by not registering.

This insanity brought to you by insane leftists.

Also the truck behind the Marine looks more like a MK25 Cargo Truck than an “MK48 Logistics Vehicle”.

HRC is afraid of this issue. She was first in favor, now has flipped to ‘no position’ just a couple of months ago. She’s afraid of the issue.

Still, a really, really stupid move in an election year for which the GOP is going to get blamed.

A simpler solution is that you automatically register for the draft when you register to vote.

I don’t think conservatives are thinking straight on this. Perhaps some are past fathering age, or not thinking this through enough, but as a former US Army officer and father of 5 daughters, this is asinine. For one, the homofascists in charge have opened up all combat arms positions to females. This means that a draft could put our daughters in foxholes against Muslim savages. For what? So America can push homosexual/transgender rights on the rest of the world? Not my daughters. We will be conscientious objectors. If they come for us, some hills are worth dying on...
