MTV is urging viewers to pinpoint politicians who want teachers to be armed for self-defenseand then vote those politicians out of office.
In a video segment called The Racket, MTV pointed out that the state of Tennessee recently enacted a law to become the tenth state to adopt legislation allowing teachers to be armed for self-defense. Then the network ridiculed the sponsor of that legislation, Representative Andy Holt (R-Dresden), for saying he would like to see 100 percent removal of all gun-free zones in public places.

Is MTV relevant at all anymore? I have two teenagers, and they don’t even know what it is, nor do their friends.

I’m for voting 98% of the House & Senate members out, and immediately passing a 2 term limit. Nothing else will work, IMHO.

Is Viacom HQ a gun free zone? Doubtful. I’m sure they’ve got security armed to the teeth.

It’s a good thing no staff waz armed at Sandy Hook or Virginia Tech, or Nirthern Illinois University when the lunatics started shooting them up. Someone could have been seriously injured...

And, no pension after serving your term. Same medical options as us common every day pukes. No benefits from lobbyists. EVER. See how many folks belly up to the bar then.

Would MTV exist today if people were allowed to chose the channels they wanted on cable TV?

I’m sure they’ve already weighed in on the toilet issue by now. Maybe that’s where the lyin’ king got his inspiration to command us to use whatever toilet we feel like today.

No, it's not. Even when it was their Rock the Vote efforts were an abject failure. They hired Mondale's cute daughter to shill for him and he won one state.

NO pension!
I wish there was a way to outlaw lobbyists. They are the ones buying many of the 1-4 million dollar homes around the D C beltway!

Kids, there was actually a time when the "M" in "MTV" stood for music, believe it or not...

Is MTV relevant at all anymore? I have two teenagers, and they dont even know what it is, nor do their friends. Okay. Maybe they don't watch MTV. But, generally speaking, everything children and teens and twenty-somethings watch and read in the news and entertainment media world is founded on Progressive Left ideology and world views. From Jon Stewart and SNL to the Huffington Post, it is ALL Progressive.
The exceptions are those few families who are in the conservative Christian or homeschool camps, where parents put in huge amounts of effort to filter out the Progressive world view.
We can elect ten Donald Trumps and ten more Ted Cruz's, but nothing will change until the big news wires are toppled and replaced, and the teen to college age crowd has an entertainment feed from Christian / libertarian / social and fiscal conservative entertainers.
To: rktman
MTV should focus on playing music videos (remember the "M" stands for music). Instead, it has long ago become a home to every leftist cause and been a de facto PAC for the DNC.
