Trump says Washington Post owner Bezos has 'huge antitrust problem'

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump lashed out at Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos Thursday, claiming that the founder of Amazon.com was using the newspaper as a tool to influence corporate tax policy.

"Every hour we're getting calls from reporters from The Washington Post asking ridiculous questions," Trump told Fox News' Sean Hannity. "And I will tell you, this is owned as a toy by Jeff Bezos ... Amazon is getting away with murder, tax-wise. He's using The Washington Post for power so that the politicians in Washington don't tax Amazon like they should be taxed."

Trump was responding to Post Associate Editor Bob Woodward's disclosure that the newspaper has assigned 20 reporters to investigate the real estate mogul's life.

"We're going to do a book, we're doing articles about every phase of his life," Woodward told the National Association of Realtors convention Wednesday. The veteran reporter, best known for investigating the Watergate break-in that led to Richard Nixon's resignation, said he had begun investigating Trump's real estate deals in New York, which he called "more complex than the CIA."

“...the newspaper has assigned 20 reporters to investigate the real estate mogul’s life.”

Did they do this for Obama?

Say what you like, this guy thinks outside the box.

And the reason he thinks outside the box is because he's not in the box.

Wash/Pot has assigned 20 reporters to investigate Trump.

Gosh, Bob couldn't 1-2 reporters be assigned to his
opponent's doings w/ the Clinton Foundation Slush Fund?

Trump should ascertian whether Bezos is cooking the Amazon books——he was always being touted as a “billionaire”.

Sales were high but the inside info was he didn’t make a penny off of Amazon.

Bezos is not a businessman at all——when he got the idea for Amazon, they were packing books on the floor on their knees.

Then Bezos said he got the idea to set up tables for packing.

Genius, eh?

Are they as complicated as Whitewater?

I’m the only person who has written a full book about Harry Reid’s corrupt empire. I’ve found a mountain. Think what twenty WaPo writers could find on Reid.

Maybe Trump will end up owning the Washington Post before this is over.

... he didn’t make a penny off of Amazon.

Ah that explains why, when they hit some landmark sale, 1M maybe, he personally "delivered" the golf clubs to the buyer, obviously for the publicity.

After the camera crews left, he took back the set ofclubs, simply a prop that wasn't what was ordered.

The purchased set was on BO. You'd think Bezos would have let the guy have the set he brought as a bonus for the participating in the smoke and mirrors.

” Gotta love Trump.” I do. I’m also an 84 year old depression baby, and Donald Trump is exactly what our nation needs to prevent another depression.

I think you are right about needing Trump but we have been in a depression for years the difference is instead of soup lines they send out cards to be used just like the working man has in the check out line.

The Left openly preparing a smear campaign against Trump. Truths can be twisted to create a picture. A picture is worth a thousand words. Who you going to believe? If in doubt don’t.

If you think it’s been ugly thus far It’s going to get real nasty hereon out.
