I hope that Ryan has seen the light and is supporting Trump now.

Ryan, based on the following numbers alone...should be touting unity. With the turnout we have had in these primaries, and with the ability for Trump to bring in the disaffected independents, DNC...and minorities, there is a Reagan style chance available in this election that the GOPe would squander.

we cannot allow that to happen.

Here's an interesting graphic that shows the 1st and 2nd place GOP Primary finishers in the last 10 residential Elections...40 years.

It is clear that this will be the largest turnout since 2000. In that year, Bush set the record for GOP Primary votes for any GOP Primary presidential candidate at just over 12 million. McCain got the most 2nd place votes in history to that point with just over 6 million.

In this campaign, Donald Trump is right near 11 million with seven more contests to go, including California. He is certain to break George W. Bush's record. In addition, Ted Cruz has alrady broken John McCain's 2nd place record with over 7 million votes. Her'es a commonality between 2000 and 2016.

In 2000 we were coming of 8 years of Clinton and the people were engergized.

This year we are coming off of 8 years of Obama and people are all the more energized.

This will easily be the largest GOP turnout in history. Probably 21 million or more. In 2000, we managed 18 million in the primaries.

Trump is responsible for this by tapping in far most effectively into the frustration of the American voters.

Sounds like Ryan is gearing up to Stab Mr Trump in the back, fortunately I think Trump knows it and is about to steamroll over the quisling speaker.

"I hope that Ryan has seen the light and is supporting Trump now."

From their joint statement, it looks like that's true, and vise versa.

Anither article on the subject:

Trump, Ryan say they are ‘totally committed’ to uniting their party

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/05/12/republicans-brace-for-outcome-of-trump-ryan-meeting/

I hope it’s true and Ryan isn’t planning some back-stabbing maneuver.

I’m with you.

Apparently Sarah Palin also feels (felt) uneasy.

So why in the hell doesn't Ryan just endorse Trump. Is it that this baby face just wants to play games? He forgot that Trump will be the CIC and that is one hell more of an important position than speaker of the house. Trumps pen can destroy this child. It's call a veto pen. Quit playing games.

Trump for President.

Too bad Boehner and Ryan (I use both as example, it is not just the two of them) chose to ignore the people’s will after 2010, 2012, 2014 (last straw).

Voters finally caught on their game - ‘give us $$$$, after we take (the house, the senate, the presidency), we promise we will do this (....fill in the blank)’.

Let’s be pragmatic, Trump needs the party (org and infrastructure) and the party needs Trump (new votes). All you who think Ryan bowed to Trump might be a good picture in your mind, but it doesn’t exist in the real world. It all now is about winning and what each can get from it.

Ryan: “blah, blah, blah, core conservative principles, blah, blah, blah, but I’m still refusing to endorse the GOP Presidential nominee. I haven’t yet given up on my dream of trying to nuke Trump in order to help Hillary get elected this election cycle so I can run against her in four years myself as the GOPe white knight.”

[btw, anyone else notice that Ryan was so freaked out in that press conference that his body language made him look like he was standing on a hot griddle?]

There are some extremely comp[licated games being played. “It is very important that we are unified. Let’s work on getting unified. I might even join the group later if I feel like it.” Does this make sense? Paul “Obama Omnibus Budget” Ryan is looking for an opportunity to stab Trump in the back. Why is this tremendous negotiator dealing with this arrogant Obama toady? I hope Trump has something up his sleeve.
