Danny Trejo Speaks Out After Sylmar High School Brawl: ‘We Have Kids That Aren’t Safe’

Actor Danny Trejo was among those who spoke out at a community meeting Wednesday night that was held days after a caught-on-video lunchtime brawl that involved dozens of students at Sylmar High School.
Trejo, a San Fernando resident, confronted school officials at the charged meeting, accusing them of not listening to students.
“You are so wrapped up in whatever you do, that you’re not listening to them,” the “Machete” star said as students, parents and guardians erupted in cheers.
The actor pointed at the crowd and told the administrators they would come up with a solution.
“I’m so fed up — I’m sorry … I know you guys are doing such a good job. But you know what? You’ve got your heads in the sand,” he continued. “You have a black – brown situation … you either got to let everybody go or arrest a couple of people.”

That’s what we have.
Kids? They look like linebackers to me. What are they feeding kids these days?
Can’t we all agree that we just are oppressed by white people and work together against the common enemy?
A guy who makes mass-murder movies is worried about school violence? He’s probably anti-gun, too, and sees no connection there, either.
The salvation of white people could result if “blacks and browns” got into a real knock down drag out war.
Yeah, riiiight.

For saying the truth in the USA you get fired or trashed, or both.
I can’t believe I lived in that cesspool known as Los Angeles county when I was growing up, for about 2 1/2 yrs.
(I lived about 25 minutes to the north, in Valencia)
I’m glad I don’t live there now.
The thing I noticed when I first moved into that area in 7th grade, was a group of young kids (like 7 & 8 yr olds) prolifically cursing and acting in otherwise horrifically crude manners.
And this was about 1980/early ‘81. I remember not long after, being in gym class, when they announced Ronald Reagan was shot, and a bunch of kids laughed like it was the funniest thing ever.
Its a shame California doesn’t just sink into the ocean like in the movie “2012”.

At least this sort of thing still generates a meeting involving parents. Now if some of those parents just happen to be adults, they might accomplish something.
