Ryan and Cruz won’t endorse Trump. They want to be the nominee if/when the GOPe does something to Trump to knock him out of the race.

I hope Trump has a food taster. I hope he puts the media on the Trump plane every once in a while and he takes another one. And I hope he always wears his bulletproof vest. The GOPe guys are ruthless.

‘If he had come out singing Trump’s praises, y’all would be screaming about how quickly he got over his supposed concerns and that the whole thing was political theater.’

Which raises the question, what else are you wrong about?

Look for Kasich and Rubio to free their delegates.

I WANT Trump to have differences with Ryan. I WANT Trump to have many, many differences with Ryan. Huge differences. Ryan is patrician-wannabe and a well-heeled oligarch in his nature...that’s why he hangs with Romney and Bush and their money-men. I WANT Ryan to come to Trump, lukewarm and milk toast, because he will bleed out because he will bleed out if he fails to do so...I want the party and his position to slip out of his grasp. I want him dragged kicking and screaming because he has no choice. No quarter. Then when Trump is president, throw his embezzling ass on the trash heap of history...but he can just shut up until then for all I care.

This is about the ‘ticket’ come November. IF the ‘republicans’ want to hold the majority they darn well better act like it. I have already put my representative on notice, any funny stuff and I will vote for their primary opponent.

Both Cruz and Ryan will come around because their political futures WILL depend on it.

Does Trump know he will be the one doing the fundraising? His wording the other day made me think he just expects the GOP to give him $$$.

He doesn't look weak to me. This encourages me. I like that he isn't blowing off the Speaker of the House. Trump will need the ability to find common ground with world leaders. We can't just drop a nuke on anyone who doesn't bow to Trump's will. He says he's a negotiator. Let me see it.

“All others can go climb a tree.”

More like go jump off a cliff.

Those knuckleheads have severely damaged this country.

Ryan is point man for the GOP. If you accept the argument made by Hamilton Jay in post 72 (I do), somebody has to be the face of the GOP.

I'm not buying the claim that the party is unifying. It isn't clear just yet that the GOP accepts Trump as the nominee, and in fact, what is clear is the opposite. The party does not accept Trump as the presumptive nominee. My takeaway is that the party is no closer to be unified today than it was yesterday. All we have is a bunch of meaningless claims from the politicians.

My point is that while Ryan's actions may be unbecoming in a general sense, or in a usual election contest, this is far from usual. This really is Trump and his voters siding with a minority of GOP who have been opposed to the party's direction for years. You bet that Ryan and his ilk are going to fight like hell.

That’s not how I heard him.

I heard him say that he would be doing fundraising for the town ticket races. Money that then goes to the RNC could also be spent to benefit the presidential race as the RNC sees fit.

So, Trump can self-fund, fund the RNC, and raise money for down-ticket.

He can do it all.

Ryan just needs to figure out how to catch up with the expansion of the Republican base that Trump has accomplished with no help at all from the GOPe. They stand to benefit all the way up and down the ticket. The GOPe needs to recognize that Trump has a lot more to offer them right now than they have to offer him.

Ryan is a d-bag. He should drop this phony, "I need to get to know him..." garbage, grow himself a pair, and man-up. You can have a pajama party and play spin-the-bottle once we get this country off of life-support, you pathetic, self-important screwtape.

No substance and therefore pointless.

I guess that they are trying to figure out a way to describe their conflicting opinions in a manner that disguises the conflicts. I'm not sure that is possible. There are differences and it won't take many questions to make those differences appear. In fact, the last thing that Trump wants to do is to pretend that there are no differences between his views and the views of the GOP establishment.

Ryan will come out AFTER Trump officially gets to 1,237.

I watched Paul Ryan right after the meeting...he holds a meeting every Thursday to let the people know what the House is doing, which he did...

Then he released this statement...it was his statement, not one with Mr. Trump...he said it went positive and it went 45 minutes long...

Mr. Trump is now going to meet with McConnell and the Senate people...

I haven't heard or read anything about what Trump has said on any of this as yet...

Media will no doubt try to make this bigger than it really is...don't believe everything you read unless you hear it right from Mr. Trump's mouth...

He’s been in DC for 17 years and has nothing to show that would make a case that he is conservative.

Now wait a second their pardner...Ryan got an excise tax on arrow shafts repealed...what could possibly be more important?

17 years and 3 pieces of worthless legislation, lost a debate to a total nitwit after hitching his wagon to the Romney mule team, passed Obamnibus spending...Whatta guy!

SPIT!
