All good reasons. Personally, here's why I'm supporting Trump. It is not so much that he is a Conservative - at best he barely qualifies for that moniker on some issues. It is not so much that he's an ideal candidate - he's got a lot of negatives. It isn't even that he's got charm - I get the feeling he's probably kind of a type-A a**hole in real life.

However, I merely have to look at what the other side is offering up: a socialist and a criminal. I'm an old cold warrior. I came of age helping the US Military prepare to fight communism and socialism. I've watched the state of the world for the last 30 years. I've researched enough history to know, to know that communism/socialism sucks. It has never "worked" (created happy prosperous societies). It is not working anywhere now. Finally, applying a little logic, reason, and appreciation of human nature you easily conclude it will never work.

Then there's Hillary. What-the-{expletive} has this Country come to? I mean seriously, {expletive}. She has left a 40 year long trail of scandals, barely dodged charges, dead bodies, broken women, and pure power-mad behavior behind her. Her record of criminal behavior would make a Mafia Don proud. Well, maybe not, I believe they have a better code of conduct and respect. I'd rather deal with a Mafia Don than Hillary.

So yeah, when I look at the alternatives, it's gotta be Trump. Yes, gee wouldn't it be nice if so-and-so was the GOP nominee. Wouldn't it be nice if he was more like whoever, or would moderate his stance on X, or was more forceful on Y... Got it. Not an ideal nominee in most of our books... But compared to what the 'rats are running at the Country the decision is very simple, very easy.

It sure worked with McCain and Romney, didn’t it? We got a conservative congress that would fight Obama...Oh wait. all we got was enrichment for the RNC and more Senators and Congressmen that are more liberal than the democrats. Whoo! I think I will just vote for who I believe have the values that are most important to me. It doesn’t seem to matter when you ‘just go along’..Trump did us a favor by ripping the Party apart an exposing them for what they are. Now, after assassinating his opponents with lies and innuendos, he wants to cobble that party back in his own image. I think that with my one vote, I will just vote for whom I see the most fit and will let God decide whom he will put in office. The RNC sells loyalty for what? How have the earned our loyalty? They have turned their back on conservatism, so I will fight for it in my own way.

I see you did not address the fact that Ted Cruz has been "all talk, no action". He tried to take the Obama route to the presidency. He got elected senator of Texas and then proceeded to run for president. The American public are fed up with office holders who get themselves elected on empty promises and then proceed to use their elected position as a pedestal to run for higher office.

Many of us are tired of career politicians with their law degrees, their inside baseball and their slogans.

With Donald Trump, we have a proven businessman with a long list of accomplishments. Sure, he sometimes goes overboard with self-promotion but he does back the swagger up. What is best about Trump is that he surrounds himself with successful people and he chooses them based on merit and not on patronage.

Finally, if you think that attaching a solemn portrait of that 19th Century Confederate general to every post you make here gives you "gravitas" - it's not working.

Five Reasons Ted Cruz Fans Should Support Donald Trump

*******************

There could be a hundred reasons but really only one is needed.

That one is:

Hillary Rodham Clinton

Hillary would be a disaster. I’m not convinced that Trump would be better.
Actively support Trump? I’ll pass. Vote for him? I’m still thinking. If I decide it is in the best interest of the country, I will.

‘I get the feeling he’s probably kind of a type-A a**hole in real life.’

That’s not what people who know Trump on a personal level say. They say the opposite.

You mean blind support for the RNC? Wow, they have really supported conservative values well, have’t they...we have held our noses too many times. Vote your conscience, not who you think the RNC wants because ‘they know best’..now tha Trump has destroyed the Party, he wants to make it his own..so be it.

I’m with ya there. I was a Cruz supporter in the early days, but began to understand why people just don’t like him as the campaign wore on. Cruz is certainly more of a constitutional purist than Trump, but no more a patriot...

the most important thing right now is to keep us safe and preserve our values, our way of life- our AMERICA.

America has always been the greatest country the world has ever known because it was founded on Christian/Judeo values.

The thousands upon thousands of muslim 'immigrants' (colonists, Jihadists) that Obama continues to import and distribute all across America AGAINST OUR WILL are plotting to take this land for Islam (the Koran commands the world be conquered for Islam). It's only a matter of time until we're subjected to daily car bombings, bloody attacks/rapes on Americans just as in Europe.

Mexico unloads its criminals, its illiterates, its poor upon the U.S for it to take care of- to finish bankrupting us. (Obama has designated $17,000 to care for each illegal- more than our senior's SS checks for a year!)

These people will never assimilate or accept our American values- but Obama keeps letting them pour in (more rat voters) to destroy us. the foreign marxist/muslim usurper hates whites, the Jewish and America and would like nothing better than to see it become another third world sh*thole.

As Donald says; 'A country without borders is not a country'.

Only Donald has had the courage to even bring all this up.

He will run into a lot of problems building the wall, but he will get it up eventually. In the meantime he WILL PUT A STOP TO CRIMINAL, DRUG DEALER MEXICANS AND JIHADISTS FLOODING OVER OUR BORDER BY PUTTING ENOUGH ARMED GUARDS ON THE BORDER TO SEAL IT. COUNT ON IT.

hE WILL VET/INVESTIGATE/DEPORT DANGEROUS MUSLIMS THAT OBAMA HAS IMPORTED. COUNT ON IT.

WE MUST MAKE THIS THE BIGGEST CONSERVATIVE VOTER TURN OUT IN HISTORY. WE NEED DONALD IN OUR WHITE HOUSE TO KEEP US SAFE.

You know what? I’m a former Cruz-turned Trump supporter and I’m really getting tired of hearing that crap about Cruz “lying” about Carson dropping out. It was Carson’s campaign manager who released the message that Carson was leaving Iowa early and that he would not campaign in New Hampshire. Not only the Cruz campaign, but also the Rubio campaign and more than a few news outlets concluded that Carson was dropping out and so stated. Under the circumstances, any reasonable person would have come to the same conclusion.

Yeah, I like Ben Carson too - a LOT in fact - and I truly admire the guy, but he ran a piss-poor campaign and that is no one’s fault but Carson’s.

the ugly stuff if I am not mistaken in regards to Cruz started when he lied about Dr. Ben Carson was dropping out in Iowa

You are not mistaken, but spot on. It started to get ugly when this became 'truth'. What actually happened was that a Cruz staffer in Iowa retweeted a CNN tweet/report about Carson returning to Florida. But 'Cruz liead about Carson dropping out' is easier to remember I guess.

When cruz blamed Trump for the riots at a rally told me all I needed to know about cruz.

My watershed moment was Cruz insisting that the man at the top sets the tone for his race. I thoroughly agree. Then he and Beck performed a mock swearing in ceremony. I was appalled! The HUBRIS. This was no different than Obama and those disgusting columns. That made me seriously re-evaluate my decision to support Cruz.

Cruz' behavior during the Chicago riots only confirmed my suspicion: he will embrace the Constitution only when it is to his political advantage. A true conservative embraces the Constitution at all times and for all circumstances.

I had a discussion on FB the other day with a Cruz supporter. If I didnt know better, I would have thought I was talking to a total liberal loonie Code Pink person! This person was absolutely vicious in her support of Cruz and against Trump.....even knowing, at this point, Cruz has no chance of winning. I had to walk away and just smh over her remarks since I got nowhere trying to tell her at this point it is ABC......

I think Trump is an Actor in public...he’s playing a role...in real life from what I’ve seen and read he’s very different.

Actually, I don't care. Anyone who supports Cruz would support his female counterpart, Hillary Clinton. They are both lying, unethical immoral, back stabbing snakes.

IF they can't recognize that by seeing his actions, they should consider the company Cruz keeps. Beck? Bush? Romney?
