If Comey announces the referral of charges to the DOJ, it will be so that there enough is time to inject Biden into the mix.
Unlike Hillary, I think Biden would be very hard for Trump to beat. Biden has kept his skirts clean and doesn’t have the high negatives of either Hillary or Trump.
Nothing there - that’s what he’ll say - why else take questions? He couldn’t answer any questions if it were an ongoing investigation

You could be right. Better retired than dead. But I wish Comey would clear the air about the Enemedia's LIE about "INTENT". There doesn't have to be any malicious or criminal intent for Hillary to be indicted for crimes here.

Drudge is highlighting there was tension between DOJ and FBI agent. I expect DOJ made a deal with Mills to which FBI is not a party. If Comey resigns, it will be to support the integrity of the investigation. It would be like Watergate's Saturday Night Massacre.
I think it is too early for the FBI to put the kabosh on the investigation because they have not interviewed Hillary yet.

The most obvious reason for the presser is probably the correct one - which would be that Comey just wants to quell rumors and speculation by stating that the investigation is ongoing and they aren’t going to be rushed into completing it for political reasons.
They haven’t interviewed Shrillary yet, supposedly, so how can there be any decisions about referring charges to the DOJ yet?
Comey probably won’t say anything specific about the investigation, just that it is ongoing. We’re going to hear a lot of, “I can’t speak to specifics since this is an ongoing investigation.”
But Jesus wasn’t incompetent.
