“...scant evidence that the leading Democratic presidential candidate intended to break classification rules”

Hmmm...the SOS has a security clearance, presumably because she will deal with secret information often.

And she never used her official account (well it was reported yesterday she sent one email on it - so almost never).

So exactly what did she ‘intend’ to do? Run the state department without ever transmitting secret information? That’s laughable.

At best, what she intended to do is shield ALL communications from FOIA requests, to include secret information.

At worst, she was hiding her pay for play Clinton money laundering scheme.

“This assertion is categorically false.”

Agreed...but also not applicable. She sent secret info to Blumenthal, who didn’t have any clearance.

It matters but not to our corrupt government.

Did (does) any serious Freeper really expect that Barack Obama would permit the Justice department to charge or indict the putative democrat nominee for president with a serious criminal act a mere few months from her enthronement as the actual nominee?

#6 ~ This is pure subterfuge and obfuscation. ~

We know better than to blindly accept what is written in the WaPo propaganda sheet. Sadly, many people do not.

The FBI commented that among the most ethically challenged Hillary emails dealt w/ "Selling Access."

HERE'S HOW THE CLINTONS SCREWED AFRICA OUT OF ITS OWN VALUABLE RESOURCES: The head of a Canadian company with an enormous interest in Africa....in the Congo's mining and oil sector.....Lukas Lundin of Lundin Mining.....announced a $100 million donation to the Clinton Foundation on the heels of Hillary/s first presidential campaign....as she became Secy of State.

After the Congolese government attempted to regain control of its own mines, the State Department intervened on behalf of Lundin Mining and another mining company, Freeport Mines, also a Clinton foundation donor.

A round of talks in 2010, thought to be aided by the Clinton State Department, concluded with the pair of well- connected companies (Clinton Foundation donors) retaining their stakes in the mines and with the Congolese government being shut out of its own resources. THE STATE DEPT PAPER TRAIL---- Hillary/s State Dept Aide Shared Classified state Dept Information With Clinton Foundation 2012 Email Shows Aide Cheryl Mills sent information marked confidential to Clinton Foundation / reported By Alana Goodman, Free Beacon September 28, 2015

A key aide of Hillary Clinton emailed classified information about the government in Congo to a staffer at the Clinton Foundation in 2012, according to a copy of the correspondence obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Cheryl Mills, Clinton/s chief of staff at the State Department, sent the email to the Clinton Foundation’s foreign policy director, Amitabh Desai, on July 12, 2012.

The message, which was originally obtained by the group Citizens United through a public records request, is partially redacted because it includes foreign government information that has been classified Confidential by the State Department......but was not marked classified by the State Department until this past summer.

Intelligence sources tell the Free Beacon that it would have been classified at the time Mills sent it because foreign government information is considered classified from inception.

The message could add to concerns from congressional and FBI investigators about whether former Secretary Clinton and her aides mishandled classified information while at the State Department.

About half of the forwarded message was redacted due to its classified nature before the State Department released it to Citizens United last month.

Although it is not clear what the redacted section includes, the State Department said in a court motion filed last week that it concerns both foreign government information and critical aspects of U.S. foreign relations, including U.S. foreign activities carried out by officials of the U.S. Government.

The State Department added that the disclosure of this information has the potential to damage and inject friction into our bilateral relationship with African countries whose cooperation is important to U.S. national security.

The Clinton Foundation and the State Department did not respond to request for comment about the email, or say whether Desai...a non-government employee who has worked at the foundation since 2007....would have been authorized to view Confidential information.

Exonerated is kind of a bit over the mark here. That justice department will decline to prosecute is not exoneration.

Saying that Nazi scientists working on Hitler’s super weapons were exonerated after WWII rather than being hung as war criminals for using slave labor because we needed them would be the equal of saying exoneration.

Intent does not matter, she sent and received secure information over non secure devices. That is the standard for the serfs, for her there is none.

The latest news on the Hillary Clinton email controversy reinforces everything we’ve heard so far on this subject:

He talks only to other liberals, so of course he hasn't heard anything of substance......................

The law most definitely NOT require this.

Right you are. The Hillary supporters have a layered defense. First they say she did nothing wrong. When that line is breached, they fall back to saying she did nothing intentionally wrong.

But the law does not require intent for a crime to have been committed. I know that from experience.

Cop: You were going 55 and a 35 mile per hour zone.
Me: But I did not intend to go that fast.
Cop: Too bad. Here's your $110 ticket. You'll be getting points on your driver's license as well.

More proof that John Comey is a fraud, one of the biggest frauds ever perpetrated by the Rat party.

He prosecuted Martha Stewart over nothing. She went to prison for 10 months.

Hillary Clinton violated Sec. 793 hundreds if not thousands of times.

He slow rolls the investigation and equivocates.

The guy is a bought and sold Rat party operative.

Shirley, there is no one here surprised by this BREAKING NEWS. Or should that be, “THIS FOX NEWS ALERT”?

Never forget, the FBI is part of the Just-us Dept.
The Just-us Dept is run by the Obama Regime.

Precisely. The word or meaning “intent” is not in the statute nor does it have anything to do with it. Nor is it in the agreement HRC signed with the 0bama admin.

If (as a matter of curiosity, I suppose) it was not intentional, she has the duty to alert the FBI or CIA fully equivalent to her duty to guard the materials. And that’s in black and white.
