Trump to Ed Klein: Being 'Rebel' Won't Work, I'll Make Nice with GOP Establishment

Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump says he will seek to get along with House Speaker Paul Ryan and other party leaders for the general election, Ed Klein writes in a blog post to be published Tuesday.

"I first thought I might be better off without Ryan and the support of the party," Klein quotes Trump. "I've done great as a rebel up to now with fantastic crowds everywhere, and for a time I was going to play the meeting in Washington as a rebel."

But Trump told Klein that while being a rebel in the primary season is fine, the general election is different.

"So I've decided that getting along is better," he said. "I think it will play well in Washington."

Tell the talkers and newzies what they want to hear. Behind closed doors will be another story for those negotiating with the new boss. This is how its done.

Trump knows what he’s doing.

Unfortunately, we have absolutely no idea of what Trump is doing or is going to do.

It’s not bribes and cash. It’s a very potent fund raising machine.

Yes.

Trump already stated that he would use GOP fundraising.

He is not stupid.

Therefore there are considerations even Trump must mull.

I can assure you Trump isn’t in this to get cash from some fund raising. That would generally go along to the winning nominee anyway, right?

And Trump spent less money than all the loser lawyer politician candidates. These people still don’t get it. It’s not just money and fund raising when the right candidate is available, especially after decades of loser leadership.

Btw, intelligent people are able to make up their own minds who to vote for, and do not need to see $58,000,000 worth of commercial TV propaganda.

Trump wants the GOPe GOTV machine. Their money isn’t that important.

Hard to say what they want from him, he can’t support Open Borders which many of their candidates count on for big donations. Perhaps they want him to fundraise for candidates who lose Open Border donors.

“I can assure you Trump isn’t in this to get cash from some fund raising.”

I did not say he was in this to get cash from fundraising.

The money to be fundraised is for the campaign, like with all RNC Presidential candidates.

You bet, they need to cough up and support the new boss like with all RNC candidates. I’d pay good money to see these betraying inept stiffs at the negotiating table. These people don’t know a winner from a loser. They’re pathetic.

You guys are aware Trump is doing traditional fundraising now, including with the RNC, aren’t you?

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is building a finance operation that will raise money for the general election, two people familiar with the plan said.

The finance team will seek to raise money for the Trump campaign directly, as well as under the auspices of a joint fundraising committee, or JFC, with the Republican National Committee, once both sides settle on the terms of the venture.

“I’ll be putting up money, but won’t be completely self-funding, as I did during the primaries,” Trump told the Wall Street Journal in an interview confirming his decision.

Top aides suggested he would need to raise about $1 billion to take on expected Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. The much-needed funds will come with certain political risk for Trump, whose political ascent was largely built upon his argument that he self-funds his campaign and therefore is not beholden to anyone.

"So I've decided that getting along is better," he said. "I think it will play well in Washington."

Careful, Trump. Republicans going along to get along WILL play well in Washington, but it'll lose you a lot of support in places where you've previously done well.

I've written this before: Trump will do well as long as he doesn't apologize for telling the truth.

Heck, I’m a TRUMP addict, and even *I* am confused. LOL!

Hope this condition is a good sign for TRUMP, and for me. HA!

He goes after Hillary like a fish wife and then tells Klein he will make nice with Ryan and the Boys in DC who think he sounds like a fish wife. Go figure.

<< “Gotta hand it to him” >>, is RIGHT!

“Ed Klein writes in a blog post to be published Tuesday.

But Trump told Klein that while being a rebel in the primary season is fine, the general election is different.

“So I’ve decided that getting along is better,” he said. “I think it will play well in Washington.””

I think this is total bullshit. The quote is total bullshit. The attribution is for a BLOG post to be posted TOMORROW. And why would Trump even talk to a non-entity like this Edward Klein person, much less say something like this?

The fabricated quote doesn’t even sound like Trump.
