Obama’s last act is to force suburbs to be less white and less wealthy
New York Post ^

Hillary’s rumored running mate, Housing Secretary Julian Castro, is cooking up a scheme to reallocate funding for Section 8 housing to punish suburbs for being too white and too wealthy.

The scheme involves super-sizing vouchers to help urban poor afford higher rents in pricey areas, such as Westchester County, while assigning them government real-estate agents called “mobility counselors” to secure housing in the exurbs.

Castro plans to launch the Section 8 reboot this fall, even though a similar program tested a few years ago in Dallas has been blamed for shifting violent crime to affluent neighborhoods.

It’s all part of a grand scheme to forcibly desegregate inner cities and integrate the outer suburbs.

Anticipating NIMBY resistance, Castro last month threatened to sue suburban landlords for discrimination if they refuse even Section 8 tenants with criminal records. And last year, he implemented a powerful new regulation — “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” — that pressures all suburban counties taking federal grant money to change local zoning laws to build more low-income housing (landlords of such properties are required to accept Section 8 vouchers).

#9 If you live in a “large” home and have extra space, you will be required to rent a room in your home to Section 8 thugs.

The problem is, whereas I don’t think he as legal authority to do that, he certainly does for the other 8, and that is scarey.

Granted, the law has never stopped him on the past.

My former boss (he passed away) owned rental properties. He always had me check CCAP (Wisconsin circuit court access). One time, the people gave one name but, thank God for Caller ID, their call came from another name. The guy was a convicted sex offender! We had to say we declined for a different reason but did not let that guy move in. Landlords will come up with ways, if they want to, to get the info on potential renters.

I predict random fires in Section 8 houses where no-one saw anything.

There is no power on Earth that can successfully force people to live among blacks. People would rather die.

It usually doesn’t work out real well. Public transportation for easy access to shopping and medical providers isn’t readily available in many of these places. Town services and schools aren’t set up to provide the services inner city people are used to.

But this fits right in with the “green urban planner groups” who want more mass transit and denser core centers - now in the suburbs - to spend that “almost free” Federal Mass Transit Money.

Modern streetcars for everyone!!

Buses are so 20th Century!

That’s a quarter section. A section is 640 acres, 160

160 acres is a quqrter section. 640 acres is a section, which is also a square mile.

“mobility counselors” may be in violation of using race or other demographics in housing. I guess if the Democrats would be against the law.

“The section 8 people, (more than one family living in the home)are nothing but PIGs and create all the problems on their block....”

This happened across the street from my elderly mom’s house. After my sister couldn’t stand it anymore, she started siccing child protective services on them. Since the renters couldn’t figure out which end of a broom was the business end, it wasn’t long before CPS began making regular, unannounced visits. It only took the woman a few months to settle down and get the place cleaned up, but she was a bitch during that time. So far, so good. Few “visitors”, the kids seem to be under control, and she’s become civil, if not actually pleasant.

RE:Can't governors have a say in this?

The big threat that governors have hanging over their heads is that they will lose millions in federal money if they do not comply.

Such is the case currently with the "bathroom bill" in places like North Carolina. What the non-compliant governors should do to compensate for the potential loss of federal funds is to figure out a way to withhold federal taxes they collect on gasoline......or any other taxes they might ordinarily be required to pay to the federal government.

Where do those mooks in Washington get off withholding federal funds anyway??? Where do they think those funds come from to begin with???

They come from taxes paid by the very people upon whom the federal government is trying to impose its dictats.....the same people whose own rights the feds are all too willing to trample on in order to further their own socialist agenda.

“Section 8 only pays a little, so there will be few renting.”

That is what the new policy is going to change.

Obama’s(and Clinton's) Plan:

1. Increase the taxpayer funded Section 8 subsidies.

2. Require upscale suburban neighborhoods to take more Section 8 applicants.

3. Require upscale areas to be prosecuted for civil rights violations if not enough minorities.

4. Make it illegal to refuse Section 8 applicants for prior criminal record.

5. Make it illegal to do background checks on Section 8 applicants.

This is the plan.
