Top allies break with Ryan over Trump
Politico ^ | Friday May 6, 2015 | Rachael Bade

Reps. Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia and Dennis Ross of Florida — who, as House whips, help Republican leaders muster support to pass legislation — told POLITICO in interviews on Friday that they disagreed with Ryan’s decision to break with Trump in a bombshell interview a day earlier. Both lawmakers said they believe their leader is in denial about how Republican voters feel about the real-estate tycoon.

“I honestly don’t understand what Paul’s thinking — I don’t get it,” said Westmoreland, who is retiring after this year. “I try not to give advice to the speaker, but I think it just really brought about, in my opinion, even more confusion to this thing.”

Why don’t Ryan , Romney , Kristol ,Levin , Beck , McCain, Rove, Bushes ,and the rest of the GOPe, just join the DIMs and be done with it ...that’s where their hearts lie ...or if they go third party, it could be called the Neo-Con party ... it could be headed up by Bloomberg and would get very few votes nationally ...

Exactly. Why do they stomp their feet like three-year-olds and express their enraged childishness.

Just go, already, and be mature enough not to be dragged out kicking, screaming and red-faced. No one cares what those fools do. They need to get over themselves.

Some in the beltway have got the message. Three quotes from the article.

“I’m listening: They’re fed up with Washington politicians,” he said. “And unfortunately I think there are some in my party who don’t get what is happening.”

“I had spent a lot of time listening to the voters and their concerns and how they felt about Donald Trump, and it really opened my eyes and made me realize that Donald Trump is having a conversation with the American people that many of us, especially us Republicans, have absolutely missed for years and years,” Ellmers said. “We in the Republican Party have talked about how we need to bring more people into the party, do a better job increasing votes and connecting to the American people, and here’s Donald Trump doing it and yet there are many in Washington who are kind of rejecting that.”

“I just don’t think any of them realize… the reason Trump is the nominee is because people are mad at Republicans in Congress for not getting anything done,” he said. “We brag about a lot of stuff we do, but most of the time members are sent home to defend their votes rather than going home and bragging about them. ... And they’re looking at Trump for a change.”

That’s from two in the House leadership, and an embattled moderate.

Ryan must be braindead if they are willing to say this in public and be quoted by name.

Maybe all the begging for him to become speaker went to his head.

-—Ryan hates Trump so much that he doesn’t care if not supporting Trump destroys his career. Hopefully, it will.

As ex speaker, he may very well see a lucrative business as a lobbyist.

At least there, the dirty peasants can’t hold you accountable for your actions.

He thought he could get rich peddling influence now he sees it slipping away.

The gravy train’s going to end for a lot of people very soon.

Nobody wants to protect individual liberty and private property rights, any more.

That is what the open borders RINOs are telling me.

Screw all of them, I am not a slave to anyone.

I will decide the level of charity given, not the government.

I’ve completely had it with these horrid people — the GOPe, the Left, the Globalists and other assorted rent seekers.

Go Trump!!!!

Trump will cut off their subsidies.

Let’s hope K Street is boarded up and redeveloped into dental offices, pet shops, and har salons — something productive — after 4 years of Trump.

we have to remember these people are not like the average american.

We might have a few unpaid parking tickets, or perhaps dui that we should have deserved but did not get... some may have spent time in prison, and paid their dues... or some may feel they have NOT paid their dues... but would rather never break the law, God or man’s again.

But THESE political creatures we have, got into power BECAUSE they are mostly blackmailable criminals... if they were not, they would have been blocked at the party level by either party.

Virtually no one gets in without bringing with them sufficient baggage to be black mailed and threatened with. That is the RULE of the powers that be... not the exception.

I make no excuse for them... but they are frequently manipulated by their demons: threats to and about wife, children, mistresses, children out of wedlock, drug abuse, orgiastic behaviors, relatives in jail, addictions, pornography addiction, prostitution, mistresses, children out of wedlock, murder, child abuse that is sexual, pedophilia of little boys, rape, drug deals, foreign hit jobs, treason, under the table deals, support of organized crime, human trafficking... and on and on.

Those are resume enhancers because they allow the powers that be to control EVERY aspect they desire of their puppets at the proper time of their choosing. An adjustment here, a deal there, a closed eye and a turned head... on demand at EVERY level of government and all branches thereof.

This is why we see behaviors by people that are irrational and unexplained.

I don’t think anyone currently IN the system, can be trusted due to the docia that the powers that be have against them. Threats to loved ones and constituencies are part of the mix.

Take a look at one that comes to mind: Denny Hastert, John Edwards, Lindsay Graham for heavens sake... Whenever we see someone doing something so patently suicidal.. think of the potential black mail and strings of corruption that are binding the whole damned thing.

I make no excuse for Ryan. but I firmly believe that some of the actions we see in our politicians today are not the free choices of the individuals in question. And yes, that includes some of trump’s competitors in the primary.

This election has been dirty, and is going to get a whole dirtier before its over with. It will likely get bloody. Even good men and women who we respect are going to act out... and do evil. Perilous times have come. It is no mistake that the uni-party has stated unequivocally and in no uncertain terms that Donald Trump will NOT be the candidate. They intend to mis behave and crush the American spirit with their wicked refusal to obey the will of the people, by the people and for the people...

I hate what Ryan is doing. I don’t think this is his ambition talking... I think it is that they have him by the short hairs.

They intend to force their will on us, or burn the whole country down to stop America from ever rising again...

Pray for our leaders to be set free from the chains of their political and other sins... fess up, face the music and walk away... before it’s to late for all of us.

Ryan should resign for health reasons... mental health reasons if for none other.

through the prism of blackmail and political threatening of life, limb, property, love and family.... their behaviors make a whole helluva lot of sense.

Ryan is that faction in the Republican Party that “calls” itself conservative, but is really not. He is the ultimate cuckservative.

Ryan betrayed the Republican constituency. Now he will pay for it.

Ryan serves the special interests which pay him millions. Those special interests prefer Hillary to Trump as Trump will ignore them. Romney also is serving tgem. Ryan needs to go and needs to go now.

I tend to believe that the leadership is evil, self serving and pompous.

They could be subject to blackmails, but I doubt it. Dirty KNOWN politicians have been with us since the fetid profession began. Some, like the Kennedys, the Byrds and Clintons wear/wore their evil with pride.

Dear Rep. Westmoreland and Ross:

YOU are in denial if you cannot see how Donald Trump's life and words and bulllying tactics strike at the heart of conservatism.

“Ryan, as a Republican leader”.......

What’s in a name? Ryan has demonstrated that he is more liberal than conservative and is NOT a Republican leader but a “RINO”. He needs to be gone!

Think about sending a couple of bucks to Paul Nehlen who will challenge Ryan in the Primary.
