Analysis: 11 key states shift toward Democrats
American Thinker ^ | 05/07/2016 | Rick Moran

Posted on 05/07/2016 8:10:50 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Admitting that the political situation is extremely volatile, the non-partisan Cook Political Report has shifted 11 states toward Democrat Hillary Clinton for the November election.

The Hill:

“This has been an exceedingly unpredictable year,” the analyst said. “Although we remain convinced that Hillary Clinton is very vulnerable and would probably lose to most other Republicans, Donald Trump's historic unpopularity with wide swaths of the electorate — women, millennials, independents and Latinos — make him the initial November underdog.”

Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin were all shifted from toss-up states to leaning Democratic. The “solid Republican” states Missouri and Indiana were downgraded to “likely Republican.” New Mexico is now solidly Democratic, and North Carolina is a toss-up after leaning Republican.

The analyst also shifted Arizona and Georgia from likely Republican to leaning Republican.

Cook also moved one House race toward Democrats: Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, which was considered solid for Republicans and is now classified as a toss-up race.

Maine’s 2nd District was the only reclassification that favored the GOP, going from solid Democrat to likely Democrat. The Report classifies congressional districts in Maine and Nebraska because they are the only two states that don’t award their Electoral College votes on a winner-take-all basis.

Take this survey as a starting point for Trump.  It highlights the fact that it will be an uphill battle for the Republican to overcome his historic negatives in order to win the White House.

It can be done, but Trump has to either shore up his support among millenials, minorities, and especially women or find a way to depress the turnout for those groups.  The latter might be easier considering what Trump has been saying on the campaign trail.

I am predicting that Trump wins all 50 states.

I would like to know what the hell they base the shift of Florida to likely Democrat on. WHERE do they get their cockeyed idea Florida leans Democrat when in the primaries, the REPUBLICANS turned out 652,305 MORE voters than the democrats. Trump had 1.1 million voters with 13 contesting, while Hillery had 1.1 million voters with 3 contesting.
Trump won EVERY county except Miami-Dade, while Hillery got beat in several.
Florida Governor Rick Scott endorses Trump.
I DON’T SEE Hillery taking Florida. Not anyway,Jose!

The media’s next attack on Trump is to act like he can’t possibly win to justify removing him at the convention. I expect polling to be pretty dishonest from here on out.

Clinton’s “historic negatives” don’t mean jack to those freeloaders who put “free stuff” ahead of FREEDOM.

Possible. Not likely but possible.
But do not forget who counts the votes.
It is going to be damn hard to beat Hillary when the Democrats and the GOPe will be counting the ballots.

I can't wait to see the platform the Dems adopt at their convention for Hillary! to run on.

Or to run to.

One sure way that Trump could win in a landslide is to close the polls before noon when the DemocRATS wake up.

Yes, American Thinker has been anti-Trump and pro-establishment for some time.

Yes True enough. I am counting on hillary being charged and obama giving her clemency but I can’t even imagine that she will not be arrested soon. It is cut and dried. There is no doubt that she committed hundreds on national security crimes. Does anybody disagree that she committed crimes? ANYBODY?

What you are saying is that in your mind Trump will beat Clinton because — in your mind — Trump is a much better candidate. Unfortunately, the voting public is not a product of your mind and a majority see things much differently than you do, just like in 2008 and 2012, but more so.

Well Red, the only solution to that is to bash Hillary until she can’t take it anymore. The Media is going to keep on lying, but we need to speak up and forget any trace of political correctness. We need to make them eat their words on every misstep they make, over and over and over again. We put a big dent in Fox. Let that be a lesson to them.

“and God sometimes uses amazingly imperfect people to create very good things, indeed.”

You can only say that after the fact, not before. It isn’t a valid argument to advocate for a sinner because “sometimes God uses sinners...”.

And Trump was going to pull out September 2015. Then November 2015. Then December 2015. Then January 2016. Then February 2016. Then March 2016. Then April 2016. Then, he had forced everyone else out of running and won.

Yeah, I don’t believe these polls and experts any longer.

Just like it was “settled science” that sodium under 1500 milligrams was best (it’s now known those studies were all wrong and fewer deaths occur when sodium is between 3000 and 5000 milligrams a day. Also, it was settled science when dietary cholesterol was the reason blood cholesterol was so high (these studies were completely wrong, but many decades of bad science helped kill a bunch of people). Finally, DDT was a horrendous insecticide, but it was so safe you could swallow a teaspoon and feel good, and it was banned so 20 million people could die from mosquitoes.

“Science” is always tainted by a large majority of scientists with human biases. We need to ignore what doesn’t pass the “smell test.”

Be a poll watcher. Sign up and train to know what to watch for. I was there 14 hours straight, no break, for the primaries. More people who care are needed.

Its quite a prevelent Biblical theme to see God’s enemies turn on each other and destroy themselves to secure victory for Israel, who afterward had little to do but take the plunder and dance a victory jig.

I can see something of a 2016 version of the ancient wars against the heathen playing out during this election cycle.

Clinton/Bush and Fiends cup of judgment is full and the hand of God is against them. Prepare for shock and Awe before this is over.
