Oregon State University reportedly plans to force all students to take a “social justice training” beginning in the fall of 2016. “This training initiative is intended to provide all students entering Oregon State University an orientation to concepts of diversity, inclusion and social justice and help empower all OSU students to contribute to an inclusive university community,” states the description of the proposed program, which Reason reports was sent in an e-mail to students earlier this week.

The company I worked at had a genuine former Latin American communist gorilla teaching their diversity classes. There were two instructors, the mustachioed communist and a cute little blond girl from HR. We were being trained on how terrible jokes were and told we could no longer tell jokes because you had no idea who you might offend. The class looked like a bunch of dead people who hadn’t changed color yet. So, when he said, “Somebody has just told a sexist joke and everybody laughed. What do you do?” And, I did the oh, oh, call on me, I know, routine, he lit up and pointed at me. I said, “All right, you know you’ve got an appreciative audience. The thing to do is top the joke.”
His jaw slowly dropped, and then he began turning red, which was quite a way to go on his olive skin. The girl jumped in and took over. As we left somebody who rarely spoke to me leaned over and whispered into my ear, “If he’d had his AK you’d be dead right now.” I whispered back, “Yeah. I know.”
Someone ought to start a Marxist deprogramming class.

LOL! Kinda a retake of the old “You may not be interested in politics but, sooner or later, politics will be interested in you”. So is this a voluntary required course? Kinda like a lot of high schools now require a certain amount of “community service” hours to graduate. I remember when “community service” was a sentence you got in court. WTH?

Yes, pulling this kind of PC stuff they probably will do that, once enough indoctrinated people have complained about it. It will totally remove all the fun from the OSU-USC game.
(But likewise, USC will in time before to change in the same way for the same reason. So the game will become the Sea Otters Vs. oh... the Food Truck dudes?)

— how to treat society with justice and fairness
1) Get an education
2) Get a job.
—a) Learn/show a good work ethic
—b) You work for your employer (not the other way around)
3) Do more training if you don’t like your wages then get a better job
4) Don’t sponge off the government any longer than you need to.
—a) A social safety net is for bouncing off
—b) Don’t stay there since others will need it.
5) Leisure vs income - some people prefer leisure (e.g. weekends off) and others prefer money.
—a) Don’t think badly of or abuse those with different priorities than you.
—b) Inequalities comes from the freedom you and others have to choose personal priorities
6) Helping others. Many in society need help for a variety of reasons
—a) Most efficiently done at a local level. Donate, volunteer, assist personally.
—b) Least efficiently done through government and taxes. And the further away (federal) the worse it is.
I’m sure I got some of it wrong and missed some things but no doubt on the right track. /s

I was in a sexual harassment training class one time and one of the sales guys asked: “How do you spell that? H-A-R-A-S-S or H-E-R-A-S-S..” The HR VP teaching turned a boiling mad red. The sales guy survived. He was able to convince her it was a sincere question. The rest of the class was struggling to stifle giggles.
