The owner of Jamba Juice, which makes specialty beverage and food items including fruit smoothies, will move its headquarters from Emeryville to a Dallas suburb over the next six months, the company announced.

Jamba Inc. chief executive David Pace said in a press release and a regulatory filing that the high cost of doing business in the Bay Area is a large reason why the company is moving to Frisco, Texas.

Moving from Frisco to Frisco.

That’s gotta be a first!

Frisco is great. Nearby all sports lakes. Concealed carry permits. Self defense encouraged. No state income tax. More freedom. Good business climate. They will wonder why they didn’t do that earlier.

When I lived in Frisco in the early 1970’s it had a population 750 people and was dregs of the state.

It is a horrible thing to say there is nobody in a place you lived 10 years that you ever want to see again.

I’m sure the place has changed and if so it had to be for the better because I doubt it could be worse.

Now I understand some of why their smoothies are seven bucks a pop.

North of Plano. Had to look at a map to see where it’s located in the great State of Texico.

Comments at the site seem to be a mixture of reality setting in and “Oh well, I didn’t like their stuff anyway”. People are interesting.

Nothing like liberals spreading their disease. They made their bed, they should be made to sleep in it.

Frisco was in the middle of nowhere then.
In the early 70’s, there was still miles of farmland between Dallas and Ft. Worth too. Alot has changed. Some for the better, some worse.

I wonder if there’s a market for jamba juice in Texas.

Just wait until they meet up with county commissioner J. Wiley Price, They just think it’s more expensive in San Fran.

“They will wonder why they didn’t do that earlier.”

The way you’re describing it, I’m wondering why I never made the move myself.

Lived in Dallas till the late 90s and if Frisco is a suburb of big D then you might as well say Terrell is also

Or why not Denton or McKinney?

Yes I remember the cotton fields between Garland and Plano and other pleasant thoughts but you couldn’t pay me to live there now.

I remember that Michael Moore is a big fan of Jamba Juice. I wonder if he’ll have to change to something else, now.

My first Jamba juice was in Hawaii. I’ve been hooked ever since. Luckily there is one close enough to the house.

Price structures were set when Starbucks was able to get away with charging $5.00 for coffee or a milkshake.
