Very possible, especially with the buffet setup which isn’t always kept very clean.
I try to stick to certain items that I have found by experience to be okay. Hot buffet probably OK, cold could be questionable. And I hold the fried chicken with a napkin not my bare hands.
I went to a KFC once and there had apparently been a knock down drag out argument in the kitchen. They were screaming at one another. Didn’t go in there that night.
Cooking decent fried chicken isn’t rocket science. And since KFC is not actually fried but “broasted” in a huge pressure cooker, that can be duplicated with a home cooker. The `11 different herbs & spices’ can be reverse engineered, too.
Fast food is about paying for convenience but it would sadden Colonel Sanders to see what his establishments have become.
Broasted chicken was all the rage in the 1950’s. The Colonel alone kept it alive as a cooking method.
