Frustrated commuters are familiar with the deep voice of Scott Eck, who reports from the skies in the WBZ NewsRadio 1030 helicopter, describing traffic snarls during rush hour every weekday morning and afternoon.
On Wednesday morning, the 45-year-old reporter signed off using a new name: Kristen Eck.
Eck’s gender transition may have surprised listeners, but it wasn’t news to family and friends. Eck picked out her new name two years ago and began the process of transitioning a year ago, and now she’s telling the world who she really is.
“All of it’s been difficult: Hiding it, feeling ashamed, not knowing how to approach it, and how to escape what I locked myself into,” Eck said in an interview. “I suppose making that decision — yeah, we’re going to do this — it is difficult, but I’m glad I did it.”

I really could have done without the picture.
Bob Tur, the guy that filmed the beating of the truck driver during the Rodney King riots, is also now calling himself a “woman.” I saw him talking to Harvey Levin of TMZ and he’s an ugly son of a bitch, too. He also said that he was never gay but once he started taking estrogen, he was suddenly attracted to men. That conversation for some reason got buried. Probably because it alludes to the fact that homosexual behavior can be cured with the proper hormones.
Just like the doctor from Johns Hopkins said, this guy thinking he is a woman is no different from a person with anorexia looking at their body and thinking they are fat when in reality they are dangerously thin. A mental disorder.
There is of course that little Y chromosome problem that just won’t go away.

Why aren’t people embarrassed or ashamed of what they look like when posing as a different sex? They never look convincing and frankly, they tend to look a bit weird. I would think it would put off anyone who might be considering such a step.
