I think he just gobbles up the opinion of people he rubs shoulders with. And in his case that’s going to be multimillionaires and corporate executives who have been doing just fine in the globlized economy.
For all of his talk about loving the “people who make America work” Rush really wants little to do with them. His driving ambition was to get rich, which he did, and then hobnob in that social sphere.
Trump, oddly enough, has an obvious connection with and love for blue collar America.
Its probably not money, Limbaugh is loaded but that could be another source of jealousy since Trump could buy and sell him several times.
Limbaugh is trying to insinuate that Trump is so dumb so ill informed that he doesn't deserve the job. That doesn't fly since Limbaugh knows what elections are all about, who gets elected, and why,look at zero even got re-elected.
Besides a 25 year old video with oprah confirms that the Donald had the same values years go that he is espousing today.
You can claim lots of other issues that might get limbaugh upset over Trump,his TV success--another possible venue for jealousy since Rush was never successful in tv. He's O for 2 if you count the sports venue. The more I consider it the more I keep coming up with just plain ol' jealousy.
What Trump actually said is far different: “I’m open to doing something with it, because I don’t like that,” said Trump. “But what I really do like is bring our jobs back so they’re making more $15 an hour.”
So, Rush telling half-truths is definitely a putrid tack.
I know I know calm down for cripes sake. Rush throughout hasn’t taken a side one way or another. It’s just hard to take and hear when someone criticizes a plan and doesn’t walk lock step cheek to cheek. This is as bad as an Obama supporter screaming RACIST when we don’t walk lock step with “the one”

Been listening to Mark Simone or WOR in NYC from 10am - 12noon as he can be quite funny for a conservative. Then I use Tunein+ to find Laura Ingraham for her final hour starting at noon.
Because Tunein+ is opportunistic [*] in finding a stream, you can get various stations around the country. Today, when her show ended on KLZ - The Source out of Aurora CO - Steve Curtis came on for his Mid-Day Matters show.
Curtis was the former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party - THAT OUTFIT. Anyway, Curtis was naturally drawn to Ted Cruz in 2015, but moved over to Trump when he realized that Trump could win it all get something done when.
Maybe Colorado Freepers know about Steve Curtis and can chime in.

Big question is why is he going after Trump at this point.
I think we are all looking for logical answers here and we are not getting many.
Perhaps he was designated to “run blocker” for the Cabal, until the convention? (Hell, I dont know, but Rushh definitely has a burr under his saddle about Trump)

You may really have hit on something here,very possible.
One hears what they wish to hear and when it is convenient. He has been critical of all and Trump as well. If sharpening Trump in friendly territory is soiling the pants of his supporters (me included) then we haven’t seen anything yet.
MSM and Hitlery as well as the democratic machine are about to wage full scale war. It is ok to be critical of our candidates. Like hearing detailed plans and VERBALLY hear them. Not some paper written by an advisor but from the lips of the very candidate who is supposed to support the positions
