The head of Egypts State Information Service (SIS), Ambassador Salah Abdel Sadek, has attributed the rise of violence and extremism across the Arab world to childrens cartoon Tom and Jerry, video games and violent movies. During a speech at a conference titled The Media and the Culture of Violence at Cairo University, the Ambassador said that Tom and Jerry sets an idea in the viewers mind that violence is natural.
[Tom and Jerry] portrays the violence in a funny manner and sends the message that, yes, I can hit him
and I can blow him up with explosives. It becomes set in [the viewers] mind that this is natural, said Ambassador Abdel Sadek.

I guess ol Salah Abdul Sadsack never watches Palestinian childrens TV where Farfur the MouseAmen; I couldn't remember the character, but he can be seen on Youtube, and it's very disturbing.

At least Dudley Do Right was animated, like the other Rocky & Bullwinkle characters.
Clutch Cargo was the most el cheapo form of “animation” ever with the frozen frames and moving mouths. Later I learned that “clutch cargo” meant shipped baggage.
I liked Heckle & Jeckle but I thought they were crows rather than magpies.

Not surprising - the average IQ for the entire Arab world is about 25, if that.

Tom and Jerry did it. Now we know why islam is so violent and barbaric.

And that time travel episode of Tom & Jerry exonerates the Big Old Mo from the mass-murder of the Jews of Arabia. Thanks Dallas59.
