Since you show little understanding of Trump why not take the time to read his two policy books and his position papers. You have made an outrageous statement here that is just obnoxious.

To suggest that a ‘genuine’ conservative will not vote for Trump is just irrational

You underestimate folks - some of us who HAVE done a LOT of genuine searching - and reading.

Trump values are nothing like “Conservative” values - and most definitely are not Constitutional values.

The man is totally Constitutionally illiterate - and he doesn’t care. He actually said he has never felt a need to even READ the Constitution.

Outrageous is that so many folks have completely ignored Trump’s history, and even recent statements that fly in the face of Conservatism.

Of course those agonizing over the Trump victory need to stop and reconsider. Donald Trump is an instinctive Conservative, who can be expected to move further to the Right, once he is elected--rather than betray us, as has been the case with those who feigned Conservatism, purely to be elected.

For analysis of why we can trust Trump, see Trump: Metaphor For American Conservatism.

And they need to consider also, the enormous gain to the Conservative position, already provided by Donald Trump's dramatic overthrow of the "politically correct" mindset that was stifling dissent in America.
