A number of disappointed Republicans have torched their voter cards and declared support for the #nevertrump campaign after the billionaire businessman clinched the party nomination following Ted Cruz's resignation.

Such is the resentment towards Trump, many are now readying themselves to vote for the Democrats despite being lifelong Republican supporters.

Photographs of them burning their voter registration cards have appeared on social media, while others say they are prepared to vote for Hillary Clinton.

Voting for Hildabeast to get back at Trump is like drinking poison and hoping your enemy dies.

-- I became bored by the number of times I read that Trump was running so Hillry could win. --

Obviously, to make good on the prediction, they have to support Hillary! Seriously! If one took an anti-Trump poisiton, on the premise that running Trump would get Hillary elected, what is your direction when Trump is run? It has to be to make your prediction come true.

Funny - watch them switch from "blame the voter" to "blame the candidate."

Oh, I agree. I would never vote against my conscience.

I’m going to vote for the senate races, local elections, the insane referendum for debt (they want to issue a $250 million dollar bond for “repairs to schools,” with the school board’s president being the cousin to the construction company who will obviously chance and win the bid on the process — something we can’t pay off in even 40 years!!!).

I think most of the #NeverTrump people (e.g., the children at NRO) are unstable, meaning that they aren’t really committed to that, most are just throwing a tantrum. The committed ones are the corrupt politicians, lobbyists and business/banking interests hiding their actions in the shadows.

Take detailed notes on all of this, people.

These RINO traitors will be looking for your vote come November, loudly proclaiming themselves to be pure Conservative stalwarts. They do it every election season and we keep falling for it. (Can you say John McCain?)

Only this time, we will have solid ID on the turncoats and Hillary backers. And we will be waiting for them, in the voting booths. With rope.

The good news is Trump doesn’t need these votes.

The bitter Cruzers can go do whatever they want.

Trump is gonna win in a landslide.

This is the same behavior the GOPe has been railing against when the conservatives do it. They blame conservatives who reached their BS saturation point and then acted on their disgust.

Now, when the people have taken the bit and started controlling their own party, the elites are upset.

They may have a chance at sabotaging the election, but they will never again have the chance to be leaders in a putatively conservative party if they do so.

That's perfectly fine, let them go.

1) Their actions reveal who and what they really are and prove where their real/genuine loyalties lie: Not America but WITH THEMSELVES; THEIR position, THEIR power THEIR wealth and with the "Uniparty". Mark these people out and write them PERMANENTLY off of your "they are conservatives" list.

2) Don't worry about their defections, as we gave already seen throughout the primary elections the millions upon millions of Americans finally waking up and fleeing the communist, socialist, democRAT party in order to vote for TRUMP will way more than off set their puny numbers.

Yes, but the outcome will be the same as if they voted for Hillary.

Keep in mind, these people don’t care if they take away your RKBA and they obviously don’t care if the country is overrun by illegals and Muslim heathens.

Because it is all about them.

This is it folks, your last chance.

"What makes you think she's a Republican?"

"She looks like one! Look at her voter registration card!"

"Ah. How do you know she's not really a DemocRAT who is simply posing as a Republican?"

"Uhhhh....well...that is.....we.....mmmmmm..."

"We need to test to see if she's really a Republican. We need to subject her to personal hygiene. If she complies, she's a Rebublican. If she runs away screaming bloody murder, we will know she's a DemcoRAT. Bring me the underarm deodorant and shampoo."

"Yes! Bathe her!"

"Sh*t."

” I’d like for one of them … just one … to explain to me how a Clinton presidency would be better than a Trump presidency.”

My thought is with Clinton they still have leverage to make back room deals under the table. Not with Trump....

I don’t trust them either, but they lost. Most of them know it and are now getting behind Trump. Ultimately they can’t force their will on the majority of the voters. They can climb on board the Trump Train, or go the way of the John Anderson crowd in 1980.

...if they go third party I will vote for Hillary over their candidate if that’s all that’s on the table.

Considering that Trump won, your statement makes absolutely no sense. Don't get so wrapped around the axle that you vote for Hillary on accident.

I hope your conscience is okay with having your sovereignty taken away along with you gun rights.

Because the other things you mentioned won’t mean squat and will never be acted upon in any forseeable future.

I wouldn't bet on it. Cruz got a huge chunk of the constitutional conservative vote, and those people are not happy about their man being wantonly trashed. Nor are they particularly happy about the gloating displayed by the winning faction ... especially since the proper time for gloating has yet to come.

The vitriol was dialed up to 11 on both sides, and if the Cruz eople are unwilling to recognize that, they need an attitude adjustment.

The Trump supporters need to start mending some fences, IMO. Not all of those broken down - that's politics as usual, and would damage Trump's brand of politics. But some, such as with the Cruz supporters, need to be worked on.

In the beginning of this, I stated that either Trump or Cruz would be acceptable to me. Trump marginally, and Cruz especially. At the end, it is Cruz who comes out as marginally supportable - because of the newfound ties to the GOPe, and because of my observations of his behavior during the campaign. Trump has progressed beyond marginal support, although I am still wary because several of the key issues that propelled his candidacy appear to be somewhat dormant now.

I hope he is committed to actually doing what he has espoused.
