In the decades to come, Ted will cherish the time that he spent sharing a stage with Donald. It's a club that's even more exclusive than the exclusive club that Ted belongs to.

Cruz just didn’t know when to quit. I can respect that, although I hope he hasn’t done significant damage to our cause.

It was a Battle Royale.

I’m kind of sad it’s over.

But can’t wait for Trump to start it up with Hillary.

Both Trump and Cruz gave classy speeches tonight, although Cruz never congratulated Trump.

This was a really strong fight.

Both fought hard. It is a shame in a way, that Cruz didn’t reach back out to Trump, but Trump won so it had to grate at Cruz a bit.

That said, there are many more things both Cruz and Trump supporters share, than which separate us. Let’s get together, and work to make America great once again.

Trump can most likely find some position in the administration, which will be a good one for Cruz.

Good fight everyone. Now let’s win the general election.

I thought Trump sounded quite gracious. No gloating or anything. I think it will be interesting to hear the tone he’ll take in the general election

I’m sure he regrets ever having to shake hands with one of the most unlikable public figures of all time.

Trump will steamroll Hillary...Way too much baggage with her for ammunition....
My guess is Trump has had people putting together this ammo for a while....

I say this sincerely, God bless Cruz for manning up and stepping away.

After all that was said, after his anger earlier in the day...it is clear that he took and followed good advise and dropped out.

Many did not expect him to do so. I give him a lot of credit for doing it.

This at least gives us hope that we can see a united party that will allow Trump to win a great victory in November.

As a supporter of his, I had pled with him to do so.

I’m glad Trump was magnanimous in victory and Cruz realized it was time to suspend his campaign. Hey Kasich, your turn.

As a Cruz supporter, it was time for him to drop out. Had he stayed in I could have no longer supported him for trying to split the vote even further. Trumps tone tonight gave me some hope that we can put this back together. I just hope Trump doesn’t take a giant leap left either now or after he is elected. Time will tell.

And in the decades to come, people will have to read the captions to remember who that dorky looking guy on the stage with President Trump was.

Cruz is already in the Senate - why would he want some flunky Cabinet position? Even Attorney General wouldn't quite do the trick.

You would’ve had 5 months to unite the party after the convention. If that wasn’t going to be enough, an extra 2 months isn’t going to make any difference.

Cruz is out because it looks clear Trump will get to 1237. He would’ve had to lose 2/3rds of California delegates after tonight to not make it there.

Regardless, Trump showed class towards this ‘most unlikable public figure of all time’, nonetheless.

I think so also...She is not going to know how to react when he starts in without all the “politispeak” BS she’s used to....

Trump in his speech tonight said something very interesting about Cruz. Wonder if anyone caught it. He said that Cruz had a very bright future.

Wonder if Trump was signaling something.
