Ted Cruz is quitting the presidential race, according to campaign manager Jeff Roe, ending one of the best-organized campaigns of 2016 after a series of stinging defeats left Donald Trump as the only candidate capable of clinching the nomination outright.

The last time this happened, when the last conservative standing was eliminated from the race for the Republican nomination. The Freepers vowed to never vote for the RINO Romney. They didn’t and Obama cruised (no pun intended) to victory. What will happen now? While Trump is certainly no establishment Republican, neither is he a conservative. Most likely he is a Clinton stalking horse, but he’s all we’ve got now.

Cruz is out.

To Ted Cruz: you fought hard and you fought with deep and strong emotions. It wasn't enough. You have finally realized that to continue would be beyond foolish and would completely shred the chances for a Republican to retake the White House. It is time to bury the hatchet and mend the deep wounds this campaign has inflicted. Congratulations and thank you.

Now, on to Hildabeast and the Satanic Left.

Hey life goes on. I gave you some unsolicited advice and an opinion on your persuasive skills. Hope Trump is smarter than you. We will see.

Even if Cruz called us Trump supporters names and tried every way he could to discredit our candidate, I wish him well in helping to bring America into unity, to fight for our freedoms, and to support what the majority of the American Voters want for America...

Trump said it very well: “I am just your messenger, it's you who want to change America back to the Country it should be” and he was right...

Good Luck Mr. Cruz, go back to the Senate and help our Country pass the bills that need to be passed to protect us, to help bring our jobs back, to help our Military to become the greatest it's ever been, to enact laws to treat our Veterans and Wounded Warriors to deem the health care and respect they so much deserve, to bring back to the States our Education system, and to end obumacare so we can afford to take care of our families...

You fought a hard battle, now help Americans unite our Country...

The smart part of Cruz's campaign was riding on Trump's coat tails up until the Iowa caucus. It gave him protection while the other candidates got knocked off one by one. His downfall was the Iowa Caucus and the "Carson is quitting" debacle. It set in motion a never ending trail of slimy campaign tactics, something the electorate has become extremely tired of and generally pissed off a lot of people. Cruz exposed himself as being untrustworthy. I think it was only a matter of time. Thank God we found out before it was too late.

I started out as a Cruz & Carson supporter, and grew to despise Cruz. That was a good speech, though.

I agree. It should go both ways. That’s not what the commenter said though, hence my response.

When I was a Cruz supporter Trump supporters called me horrible names, I switched to Trump in spite of them, certainly not because of them.

So, Cruz is not from Canada? I wish he had been honest enough to make his citizenship known before I voted for him to be my senator. No matter who voted for him, Calgary Ted was not eligible to be POTUS.

No point having a hissy-fit. You should probably log off and trim a bonsai tree or something.
