Greta makes an unexpected statement about Cruz
REdstate ^ | May 3, 2016 | RedState

Gretawire reported: Senator Ted Cruz complained this morning about Fox News Channel being unfair to him. He took a few swipes at Fox News Channel CEO Roger Ailes and 21st Century Fox Chairman Rupert Murdoch for turning Fox News into the “Donald Trump Network.” In taking those swipes, he also took swipes at my show and my staff on ON THE RECORD at 7p since we have worked hard to give Cruz equal opportunity and we have.

Hence I respond with the whole story. If Senator Ted Cruz told the whole story this is what he would have to tell you: Almost every single day (including weekends) since at least last December when he last appeared on ON THE RECORD at 7p, the staff of ON THE RECORD at 7p has contacted the Cruz campaign offering Senator Ted Cruz live interviews, taped interviews or town halls. We even told his campaign on dozens occasions that they could pick the date and location for the town halls. He did not take us up on our offers. The staff claimed he was unavailable.

That's exactly what this Joe the Plumber type did - and completely flummoxed the humorless and deeply earnest Cruz into an early political grave.

Joe the Plumber was a guy who politely tried to engage a political candidate about the issues. Don't confuse him with this clown based on some foolish notion about social or economic class.

I realize no one remembers Froggie the Gremlin from the old Andy Devine Show...

Who could forget "Plunk your magic twanger Froggy".

Ted doesn’t like to answer questions...
Trump holds his own and Ted could never hold up against the scrutiny Trump has had...

Trump is fearless in answering questions from anyone.

Greta, Greta...your show is the only bright spot left on FOX. You are fair. The rest of FOX started making subtle jabs at Cruz from the get-go. One of the main reasons I no longer watch your network. The pundits, The Five, O’Reilly and others got in their little jabs dismissing him. They are not conservative. Let it go, Greta, let it go.

When the campaign started, Cruz was my first choice; through the early debates and as the establishment guys dropped, I considered Cruz to be the clear conservative voice, and a good alternative to Trump.

But lately, he has really come off the rails, and is not helping himself for what might lie ahead, in what was a promising future.

Which is a bugaboo of mine. Why are there no restrictions on Chapter 11 as there are on personal bankruptcies?

Just to clarify, Nixon got into the presidential limo, with the press buy behind. Then they drove both through the crowd.

Poor Ted he worked so hard developing a narrative and timeline for his parents — even wrote a book, finally got his dad U.S. Citizenship, got his dad’s divorces cleaned up, got his own Canadian citizenship cleaned up,
Tidied up his sad half brothers sad story, cleaned up so much more, but now the lid is being lifted off the whole keg of worms — Ted is complissant and has been creatively covering for them.

Then Mr. Cruz ought to stop lying. And your free to vote for who ever you choose.

Politifact disputes Trump's claim about 0% GDP growth, but it is politifact that is wrong. 1% IS negative growth on a per capita basis. If the population grows 2% you should expect GDP to grow by at least that much.

I was watching Fox after one of the debates. O’Reilly was interviewing everyone...

Did trump and was cordial
Did Rubio and was very nice
Did Kasich and was nice
Did Cruz and was rude

that he gave the same airtime is irrelevant..it’s how the interview is conducted. Van Sustern and to a lessor extent Hannity may give equal air time but it’s not the same type of interview.

Here’s some post-game analysis:

Ted Cruz had a reputation for being an indefatigable worker. Coworkers used to receive long emails from Ted all hours of the night. But this campaign was an unstructured environment and was way too dynamic for a guy who spent his professional life within the confines of a very static environment: law. Trump thrives in dynamic environments and loves to play with and change the dynamic. While Trump only sleeps 4 hours a night he says he hates to even go to sleep because he is so excited about his business activities and what he has planned for the next day. He made himself available to media from the crack of dawn to late night. Trump is a force which few men half his age could keep up with.

I think Cruz assumed going to battle against Trump would be like going to battle against another politician, which Cruz has done a number of times and won unanimously on points. Cruz probably thought he slayed a dragon when he got the better of McConnell. I think he thought he could certainly outlast this unsophisticated political neophyte Trump. Cruz, and the whole political establishment, has come to realize that politics is child’s play compared to business at the big-boy level.

Cruz didn’t run into a buzz saw. He ran into a thousand and one buzz saws with the name Trump. Cruz has not only lost, he destroyed both his political future and legacy.

Only four other GOP candidates came out of this primary campaign looking good: Huckabee, Carson, Santorum, and Christie.

He hadn’t been on her show since last DECEMBER ??? In other words, not during the entire primary/caucus season. That’s too peculiar. Has he only done Hannity (with whom he eventually argued) and O’Reilly (dittos)? I don’t have TV so don’t know who’s on what when (nor do I much care, really)
