No one, who is not delusional, would make such a remark, and imagine that it was a rational argument for others to vote a certain way. It is putting a manic's personal mood swings as the centerpiece of a misconception of the importance of those mood swings to other people, going about their own affairs.
It is sad, indeed; but it is totally revealing.
That is the thing...why hasn't Cruz, who seems to think he has the abiliity to run the world despite no prior experience verifying this, disavowed the nutcase Beck and why hasn't the press asked him repeatedly why he hasn't done so? My answer is that Cruz is a fellow nutcase and the press wants Cruz to beat Trump so he can lose to Hillary. I know...easy answer.
I think Beck would vote for Hillary if he is still alive by then.

What he’s doing is pandering to peoples’ ingrained humanity that doesn’t want self destruction. It is either completely delusional or intensely manipulative.
You deal with it either by ignoring it (which Beck seems to not want) or calling their bet. It really doesn’t make much difference anyway.

I warned about this months ago. What we are dealing with here is cultism. Cults. And yes, it is at the Jim Jones level.
Now we see the “leaders” of the cultists, which includes Rafael Cruz, and this mentally unstable and crazed fanatic Glenn Beck who believes this stuff and is, like Jim Jones et all, dangerously mixing religion with politics and casting everything in some “Holy Calendar” where followers of the cult are made to feel they are living in a special divine calendar and all of history now culminates to this very moment where each of the members were long ago chosen to be born this very time to be an Angelic clarion cast member of some endowed turn of the worm, but all must heed the very words of the “leaders” who are with stained glass eyes and halos around their heads, now these “leaders” are saying “suicide” - do you think that some of their members will not take these words to heart and drink poison koolaid, or kill themselves and perhaps force some of their family to do the same?
This is dangerous stuff, Rafael, Beck, Levin, these are seriously deranged people. And they demand all attention and following of the cult.
