Donald Trump on Tuesday alleged that Ted Cruz’s father was with John F. Kennedy’s assassin shortly before he murdered the president, parroting a National Enquirer story claiming that Rafael Cruz was pictured with Lee Harvey Oswald handing out pro-Fidel Castro pamphlets in New Orleans in 1963.
A Cruz campaign spokesperson told the Miami Herald, which pointed out numerous flaws in the Enquirer story, that it was “another garbage story in a tabloid full of garbage.”
“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said Tuesday during a phone interview with Fox News. “What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.”
“I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting?” Trump continued. “It’s horrible.” Trump’s tangent followed his rebuke of Rafael Cruz using the pulpit to court evangelicals for his son. “I implore, I exhort every member of the body of Christ to vote according to the word of God and vote for the candidate that stands on the word of God and on the Constitution of the United States of America,” Rafael Cruz said in a video clip aired by Fox News. “And I am convinced that man is my son, Ted Cruz. The alternative could be the destruction of America.”

That headline is a complete fabrication. Most if not all of what they ever print is a lie.

Raphael Sr met cRuz’s mom, Eleanor, in New Orleans, in/around 1963. They moved to Canada, shortly thereafter.

Rafael Cruz was speaking against Castro in 1959. well documented.
The hairline and hairstyle in the picture was common. Just like my dad’s. Brylcreem ruled the waves.
The guy in the picture has cheekbones which are much more pronounced than Rafel’s.

Lol...Trump clearly enjoys needling his opponents, both political and in the media, while sucking all the air out of the news cycle. This story about a potential link between Cruz's father and Lee Harvey Oswald does all that and a whole lot more.
Notice he never says which part of the story he thinks is ridiculous either.
But who cares? What does that mean for Ted Cruz? He was born in 1970! Who cares what his father did? Whether there is a connection or not, it’s irrelevant.
Just saw Ed Klein on Fox Business with Varney. He followed Trump around Indiana yesterday. He was asked by Varney about Trump’s rallies. Klein said they were packed with many outside not able to get in. Varney asks about the crowd inside - pitchforks and angry fists? No says Klein; crowd was happy, engaged, lots of laughter, was entertained. And mostly men? No, men, women children, a mixture. Afterward, Klein was on Trump’s plane and invited to his cabin. Trump had stacks of newspapers, article printouts and a loud big screen TV that had news channels on with reports on Cruz. Trump was shouting responses to Cruz statements. Klein ended by saying this was an extraordinary visit with an extraordinary person.
Oswald was with a whole lot of people in the months before the assassination, just like any other person out in the world. Cruz’s father was a supporter of Castro at the time. Oswald was a supporter of Castro.
There’s no story here. It’s purely ‘guilt’ by association. Trump is riding high and the last thing he needs is a media-fueled controversy over this. He should refrain from speaking about it.
So true. Rush is already on it, playing Trump's statement on F&F with Cruz responding by defending his father saying he killed Kennedy, Elvis is still alive and Jimmy Hoffa is buried in his backyard. Follows by saying Trump is a narcissist and philanderer, and a serial liar. ENOUGH!!
