Zero strategic thinking skills. That is NOT what we need running this country. Trump is so many moves ahead and levels above every other candidate in this respect.

Trump is a deductive thinker - he begins with the goal and works back from there - no wasted motion - only what contributes to the result.
— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016

Guys like Cruz are inductive thinkers. They are so obsessed with the ideological front end, the actual result is an afterthought.

I can’t believe what we are seeing from the Cruz campaign. We are witnessing a political suicide.

Cruz, even though he realizes he’ll lose Indiana tomorrow, still won’t give it up. He’ll hang on for California and that one last impossible win to legitimize his convention inside-the-wire sapper campaign.

Personally, I expect him to go to California and get the religion of the illegal and call for legalization and THEN do something about the border. This win is just that important to his ego.

Some delegate-data chick on FNC today predicted Trump at 1281 delegates by the end.

Trump will clinch this - and when he does I expect Cruz to endorse him.

I for one am glad that he’s been pressuring Trump. We don’t need someone running loose without being pressured to be better.

We have a representative democracy - each state decides its own rules for primaries... the federal government doesn’t. So Cruz is going at it the way it was designed. Trump is going at it like we live in a pure democracy.

In any event, Trump will win it. Again, thanks to Cruz for keeping Trump accountable.

Those who had Cruz “above 50” are morons. He has not been viable since.... well I’m thinking... give me a minute.. Okay he has not been viable since Iowa.

I don’t know how the Cruzers could keep supporting him. It’s obvious that Ted is a megalomaniac who only cares about power. If he was such a principled conservative, he wouldn’t be going around trying to steal delegates, making back room deals and cozy up to the Bushes.

The Kamakruzie Kronicles
II

26 April: The kamakruzies storm from their bunkers. Screaming their war cry #NeverTrump, they are beaten back by an over 3:1 popular vote across 5 states. How could this happen? Wisconsin was supposed to turn the tide! To console themselves, they read and quote passages from the RINO rulebook to one another.

Now they straggle toward Indiana to make the first of their last ditch final stands. As they retreat, the kamakruzies tune to Tokyo Ted. He tells them of new strategies to win the GOP civil war. A new alliance has been forged with the kamakasicks against the Donald. He has also appointed the kamakarLie as his second in command. Delegate theft operations continue. They must fight on to Cleveland and destroy the Donald at all costs.

And by the way, adds Tokyo Ted, I’m now in the middle of a big-money firestorm. The witch has raised a 100 million and the Donald has a billion dollar slush fund. Will you make an urgent contribution to my campaign to defeat the Donald? Some of the kamakruzies look down at the ground. They begin to wonder if there might be a better use for twenty bucks.

Meanwhile, the goblin queen surveys the landscape. She is alarmed by the advances of the Trumpian army. Her chieftains report, fighters in his ranks that would normally be hers. Too bad that Tokyo Ted can’t get any votes. He would be such a lovely opponent. She recalls how her comrade Claire McCasKill handily defeated the kruzian clone, Tokyo Todd Akin in Missouri 4 years ago. She prays to her gods for such good fortune.

In the meantime, she is at least satisfied that the GOP civil war continues. And if Tokyo Ted’s treachery can depose the Donald in Cleveland, then her prayers will be answered.

When Cruz was holding on like Don Quixote tilting at a windmill, his fighting on was understandable albeit futile. After all, he was still in second place and the election isn't over and you never know what may happen. But when he decided to collude with Kasich it instantly took him from "party outsider standing on principle and fighting the system" to "defender of the system" status. After all, his whole shtick is that he will never compromise but how does striking a deal with Kasich mean standing on principle? It doesn't, it smacks of "me me me, whatever it takes I'll do".

It made him look small and weak. Bad bad move.

For anyone who might not have been paying attention until about a week ago, his choice of Carly Fiorina tells everything.

How, how, how does this woman help him in any state's primary? How does she help him in Indiana, where so many manufacturing jobs have been lost to outsourcing/offshoring? (At least that's what I hear, Hoosiers, please help me out if I'm missing something.)

And especially, how does Carly Fiorina's presence on the ticket or anywhere in the campaign help him in California, where she totally ran amok ruining Bell Labs, Lucent, and almost HP, putting so many Americans out of work?

And now she and Ted expect people to believe that she GAF about their state of being?

One would think that she's actually the most unpopular woman in California, outside of the country clubs. [Thurston Howell voice] "...and I'll have you know, not just ANY country club, I mean the most EXCLUSIVE country clubs in the state, from San Diego to Sacramento! [/Thurston]

Cruz/Carly will lose in Indiana tomorrow, I'd wager by more than most of the polls are showing just because of the stupid hsit he's been saying this week.

And they are going to be mauled in California in a couple of weeks. Totally, with no mercy and no remorse, mauled by the voters.

That's when things will get really ugly in the Cruz campaign, the personal grudges and suspicions, (**coughcoughHeidiandCarlybigproblemcoughcough**) and the recriminations begin after what's about to happen in California.

Indiana is just prologue, and the really wonderful thing to be coming out of this is that the masks are all coming off. No need to name names, everyone who's paying attention knows the score.

Of course he didn’t get a boost from Pence. Worst endorsement ever. Sounded more like and endorsement for Trump than for Cruz.

Cruz is a good guy but his campaign people have run the worst campaign in my history. Worst pick for VP ever. Worst speeches ever. Just needed lots of common sense and it wasn’t there.

Economy barely treading water, Cruz brags he could recite Constitution, as Calgary school boy. And debate, too.

It informs thoughtful observers and voters, to look for more than mere ability to survive in halls of government, as a paycheck casher.

Cruz in the last week: ...Cruz pick’s Carly, wife says he’s an immigrant, and Cruz says Trump will bring riots.

Red meat for the main stream media, right?

And, all in the hope the media will buoy his numbers.

Hint: The main stream media HATES YOUR GUTS TED!!! It isn’t working.
