The Atlantic ^ | Jan 26, 2016 | Molly Ball

Posted on 04/30/2016 10:15:05 PM PDT by RedWulf

Ted Cruz lies and savages a friends bill without warning or reason. He lost his only friend in the senate.

Read the whole thing.

This article is kind of old, but the type of behavior we've been observing in Ted also happened in the senate.

Specifically that he randomly lies for personal gain even when the people he's lying about are his friend.

Well, Red Wulf, you are exactly correct! (a little Cruifer lingo ;-) What is Ted Cruz’ real father actually was the Father of Lies?

No idea who she is. What is interesting is the pattern of behavior that she wrote about is what we’ve observed from Ted on the Campaign trail and as far I know it’s true that Ted’s friend in the senate didn’t endorse him.

If Molly wrote about Trump, you sure would be first in line to post it.

DC is supporting ted cruz, until he follows his master’s orders stops donald from getting 1237...

and they will hate him either way, fail or lose. Right now, he is on course to complete failure and humiliation.

I’m with Cruz on this one even though I’m a Trump supporter. Mike Lee is naive to believe liberal judges not use this legislation to early release criminals

I’m a Trump guy but I’ve been noticing a pattern as of late...many extremely recent pro Trump supporters who are STRONGLY anti-Cruz come in with short quips then poor gone. The pattern? They’ve singed into FR within the last few months with this most recent a very short time ago?

Do we have a Trump paid internet cadre of social media folks out there doing this across hundreds of Conservative forums? Who is benefitting? Are we being hoodwinked? Only time will tell after the election are we seeing true people who have joined FR because they are conservative or are they here through election then poof vanish?

I’m betting on the latter

I’m not disagreeing, but that’s not how you treat your friends. You talk to them in private first instead of savaging them in front of others for political points. If their bill sucks, you talk to them about it.

Are you noticing that? That’s nice. Maybe when you’ve been here long enough, someone will give a crap about what you ‘notice’. If there’s a ‘paid internet cadre’, it’s the Cruzlims around here.

I’m wondering whether Trump purposely plotted a campaign strategy where his one-on-one would be with Cruz and not Rubio—I don’t know how he would have accomplished that—maybe by forfeiting certain states that he would win-

Regardless, this man has got to be the worst candidate I have ever seen. And this is before the media has even attacked him. This whole Carly 500K, the sex scandal where she deflected the question—everything else is just being ignored—while Trump has had to deal with constant criticism-race cards-—violence—from the so called conservative media and the mainstream media.

Cruz is the only candidate dumb enough to keep it going. Marco dropped out when he realized the damage it was doing to him.

Well, that’s not fair, Cruz isn’t dumb, he’s politically tone deaf. He doesn’t understand how he will be perceived if he keeps going.

The article doesn't actually use the words lie, lying, or liar about Ted Cruz. It says that he misrepresented the intent and probable effects of a bill that would have released some people from prison.

Of course the reason that we sometimes have overly harsh sentencing laws is because of similar grandstanding by lots of other politicians. This behavior is what politicians do all the time to stand out and make a name for themselves.

So basically the article is saying that:

1. Cruz is just another grandstanding politician.
2. He is ambitious enough to walk over any of his fellow congress members to do his grandstanding.
