My lib friend excuses homosexual behavior by saying “they were born that way”. I told her that pedophiles, rapists, murderers, etc., also are “born that way”, but we don’t make excuses for them. She and her husband are huge child advocacy people, and she really didn’t have a response.
I believe that all of them are born with the propensity to do things God condemns. (Everyone is, to some extent, due to original sin of Adam.) But I also believe that they have to be responsible and not act on those urges. And God can change them.
I agree we all have a propensity to engage in destructive behavior.
Nowadays society makes excuses for all sexual immorality, including homosexuality. The sexual revolution of the ‘60s and ‘70s paved the way for the homosexual marriage and LGBT revolutions of the early 21st century.
