Indiana Today: DefeaTED Cruz Speaks To Half Empty Room, Polling Affirms The Reason….
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 4/30/2016 | Sundance

Posted on 04/30/2016 6:29:22 AM PDT by GilGil

Donald Trump supporters are a generally happy bunch...

The Cruz campaign in Indiana is in a state of collapse and freefall. By the end of the weekend you can expect the narrative to shift, and the campaign will be pointing fingers toward California (June 7th) because their impending defeat is looming ever more dangerous.

Before getting to a recent poll, lets take a look at the current landscape. Senator Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina spoke at a campaign rally in South Bend Indiana. In a venue capable of holding more than 2,000 only a few hundred showed up...

That’s the second actual ground report in the past 48 hours highlighting exactly the same thing. The first report we shared yesterday...

My post election night math had 1,003 as solid – but virtually identical. So you can see, the probability of Trump earning the remaining 235 (1237 – 1002 = 235), knowing 51 of those are easily won in New Jersey (winner take all June 7th) makes the outcome of Trump winning enough delegates to capture the nomination a very high probability.

That crossing of the ‘inevitability factor’ threshold is what we have outlined as the most dangerous time. The angriest moment in the denial phase is right before the ideologically entrenched accept an inevitable outcome.

The way the GOPe, the MSM and majority of the "political pundits" have been "playing", it is more like Game of Thrones!

Hopefully Mr. Trump has employed a vast personal security detail and food tasters in addition to the secret service agents the "government" is supplying. Because now that their is "no path to victory" for any and all of the GOPe's picks or "anointed ones", I wouldn't put it past ANY of them not to want Trump dead/permanently eliminated, so they can "reset the board for their American version of "Game of Thrones". Cruz was my guy and has run a ghastly campaign. I don’t recognize him anymore. He’s that bad. He couldn’t get elected to clean the streets.

I'm embarrassed I ever supported Cruz and recommended him to others. At least, and this is comforting, I never sent him my family's money.

Bears repeating:

As Paul Manafort said: "Cruz's massive NE primaries losses hammered the nails into his coffin; Indiana will show him he's in it."

The Mike Downs poll is of “registered voters”. That’s meaningless for a REPUBLICAN primary. ALL the polls of Republican likely voters show the Trump train rolling on!

That poll was “registered voters”, not Republican primary voters. It’s meaningless propaganda!

I don’t think that Bernie would run with her.
I think that the people urging him to run outside the Democrat party will persuade him to run in 2020 even if he doesn’t run independently this time.

I think an open socialist party is about to cannibalize the Democrats.

Believe it or not, RedState has replaced Erickson with an even more insane cruzlim: Leon Wolfe. (Erickson left RedState earlier this year.)

I’m not embarrassed and I have done the same.

1. I don’t think he is a bad person, he just has zero discernment regarding who he surrounds himself with, and

2. Most of what has been said about him has either been overblown or fabricated. I’m surprised at how many think he is an abject liar through-and-through and only because he got tagged with the name “Lyin’ Ted.” Too many sheep on FR even. Many have lost any objectivity.

3. I cannot support him due to his obvious lack of discernment. Even though I believe he has core values that would benefit America, his lack of wisdom is disconcerting. This can be fixed with time. I will not be voting for him on Tuesday.

RE: rent-a-mob ...
The mobs create news for the endless cycle
In some part, the MSM is owned by the same people who pay the mobs
All in all..More hopeless change

RE: Republican side of the primaries.. I’m one who’s paying attention and concerned for the general.....very poor turnout by both parties in latest primaries...dems did better in all but one. PA had best Republican turnout ... dems did better by a smidgen there.

I’ve been told not to worry about November, as primary turnout is always low...

My story exactly. Cruz was the only one I looked at last spring when the campaign season started. He was the most conservative there was of the bunch, and even considered an outsider by his own party because of his fights against the establishment in the Senate. Who could be a better choice for the Republican nominee, right?

Well, I thought so too, until life intervened, and in June, Trump came on the scene with a big splash in the pool of GOP candidates and soaked everyone around poolside. I immediately thought to myself, this is the guy who can take it all. He is unlike anyone else running. He is unconventional but speaks in a way that makes the media and the Left ooze brain fluid. From that moment on, he was my guy.

Trump hasn't backed down in the face of a cacophony of criticism and detractors telling us he is "not presidential" and he would destroy the country with his unPC rhetoric. American likes a winner but what they like even more is a guy who against all odds, fights back and becomes that winner, despite all the establishment efforts to defeat him. People love him for that.

Oh, and by the way. I too am disgusted with Cruz. His stripes turned to spots over time and he became a different candidate than I first envisioned. But he needs to show some leadership now and gracefully bow out of this race. He had his chance and will have others. But this prolonged, desperate effort to continue make himself out as a winner when he is losing almost everything in sight, just confirms to me that he is not the man we need right now.

Bandwagon: Clear some more space. There will be a bunch more people jumping on board before this Trump train slows or stops. I predict Trump will win going away in November.

From the article, “However, the type of anger held by our ideological opponents, is intensely toxic and dangerous – and they don’t care who gets damaged as they self-destruct. Avoid these voices at all costs.”

I think Boehner’s comments on Cruz the other day were a good example of this. While being helpful to Trump at some level, the extreme nastiness is not a hallmark of the Trump campaign. When Trump commented on Kasich’s eating the other day, even hose condemning rump could not help but snicker. But when people heard Boehner’s comments they knew that he had crossed some type of line.

I'm more upset than embarrassed.

Watching him destroy everything he has supposedly been working for, watching him working with the very people he said he was working against has not been fun.
