After watching the idiot college students and other uneducated “citizens” on Waters World and other TV shows, I fully support going back to a “Poll Tax”. At least that may keep some of the freeloaders from voting on our leadership. They may have to make a choice, “Spend it on drugs/booze or pay the tax.” This should raise the IQ of the voting public. (Not meant as racial because I’ve seen as many white idiots as other’s)
Totally agree. When I see these idiots being asked why are you protesting, or being asked questions by Watters I have come to the conclusion that they should not be allowed to vote until they actually know what the hell they are voting for.

If a poll tax were instituted, “Payday Poll Tax Loan” businesses would sprout like mushrooms.
IMHO, a having to show proof that you are a property owner (dwelling or land) would be better.
I’d be happy if a current pay stub was required.
I like your ideal but I would make the only ID be your tax returns, and it has to show you paid some taxes
