RE: Now lets not split hairs.
As I said cheating has several definitions.
Would an honorable man take advantage of a rigged situation?
Only if he agrees that the Colorado system was rigged against Trump.
If it indeed was rigged, then I find it curious why nobody complained about it over a year ago and then suddenly “discovered” the “rigging” ( note the quotes ) only now.
It’s not as if Colorado hid the process from people.
The Colorado system precinct caucuses electing delegates to district and state assemblies, where they are selected for the national convention isnt perfect.
But it rewards a different, more demanding and engaged sort of participation than a primary. An accent on grassroots organizing is not, by the way, a hallmark of establishment politics.
In fact, it is the opposite. The classic conservative insurgent excels at organizing as a means to bypass the partys gatekeepers and to make up for a lack of resources and media attention. Although the Cruz campaign is well funded, it has the grassroots DNA of this kind of insurgency, which it began as and, in significant respects, still is.
RE: You decide
I already have. I have decided that Colorado should change their way of selecting delegates ( in fact, every single state should make it a proportional system — do away with winner take all which disenfranchises the people who did not vote for the one who got the plurality of the votes ).
Hence, Trump should have gotten 32% of the delegates in South Carolina for instance, instead of 100%.
But that’s all water under the bridge now. But going back to your statement. I have decided that Colorado’s system is IMPERFECT but NOT RIGGED because the rules for choosing delegates were made known WAY AHEAD in advance.
RE: The establishment does all it can to maintain control and limit challenges to their control.
IS someone who goes along with that complicient ?
If one does not like the Republican way of choosing delegates, I see two ways of changing it:
1) Address it IN ADVANCE and force them to change the way delegates are selected LONG BEFORE THE PRIMARIES;
or
2) Form your own party and design rules you feel are fairer and more in line with your view of what constitute the most democratic way of choosing delegates.
To complain now would be akin to an NBA playoff match where it is a best of 7 games to advance to the finals. One team wins 3 straight games and then complains that they should have been advanced to the next round when the rules say that this is a 7 game match and you must win 4 games to advance.
If a team dislike this format, they should lobby against the rule before hand and change it. NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLAYOFFS and then call the team that has the potential of rallying against them cheaters.
Actually, it's a bit different than that.
CO rules were changed last August. Was it in response to Trumps successful campaign at that point? I don't know, and don't care.
The Trump campaign got a huge boost from CO, and Ted gave it another boost when he gloated about taking all of CO delegates.
All in all, I don't think Trump would have broken 1,000 today without the help of CO's petty tyrants.
God can even use crooks.
It should read “Billions have suffered because of this!”
Mr Trump would have signed the Communist Manifesto as follows: To my dear friend Vlad.....
RE: Was it in response to Trumps successful campaign at that point?
Highly unlikely. Trump had just announced his candidacy at that point and the first debates did not even start yet.
RE: All in all, I don’t think Trump would have broken 1,000 today without the help of CO’s petty tyrants.
If we had a proportional system of voting where you get the percentage of delegates depending on the percentage of popular votes you had, Trump would be getting LESS DELEGATES that he has now.
Take South Carolina for instance, Trump got 32% of the votes but took in 100% of the delegates. He wins 100% of Florida’s delegates while taking in 45% of the votes.
It can in fact be argued that overall, the system was designed to favor someone like Trump.
RE: God can even use crooks.
Yes he can — to punish a nation. We do not know the ultimate sovereign will of God for America. All I know is we get what we deserve with our collective votes.
Trump has something that none of the other candidates, including Cruz, have, and thats an enviable track record going back decades.
One of the keys to Trumps tremendous success has been a very simple rule; “Keep the promises made during the sale.”
That simple rule is so important to Trump that he repeated it during his Foreign Policy speech.
Hate Trump all you want, but you are going to be forced to watch President Donald J Trump keep his campaign promises.
We are getting our punishment now.
Trump is going to reverse it.
You can defend the tyranny until you are blue in the face, I know what it looks like and you can’t fool me.
Being a Balding_Eagle comes with wisdom.
Look, can you can the “hate” crap. It’s juvenile. I have policy differences with Trump. And I don’t much care if you agree with me or not.
Cruz supporters, not just picking scabs, but making endless little cuts too.
Your posts reek of hate.
Well gee Snowflake, a thousand apologies for my micro aggressions.
From your response, I can only assume you are an idiot, so I’ll try not to assume you have a higher intellect. I obviously made that mistake earlier.

Your posts, the ones I see, reek of hatred of Donald Trump.
They do not reek of hatred towards me.
Vlad the missiles fly at midnight... Is more like it.
This is almost as courageous as Bruce Jenner claiming to be whatever he claims to be.
Well played, senator.
