Sigh. If Sarah Palin had just said no to McCain she would now be a retired, highly successful two-term governor. She would either be a top contender for the Presidential nomination itself or, barring that, on top of the Veep short list. But now, well, no. Won’t happen. A pity.

You’re right.

You have to wonder how that one decision would have altered the course America had taken since 2007. It is not a stretch to say it would have likely been significant, imo.

I don’t know the details, so I cannot criticize. The GOPe/RNC played a very large part in getting obama elected.
