I remember his trip to Iceland very well.
ABC, NBC, CBS talking about how he was unprepared and
was going to be an idiot face to face with Gorby.
The networks never went back to that and they never will.
Reagan handed Gorby his ass on an American made platter.

Jeb's right! Washington was predictable! He alerted the Hessian troops to his surprise attack just before he crossed the Delaware River!
Oh, wait...

Yes he did.
And the whole scenario...running up to the 190 election, again in 1984...the MSM was certain with all of their cretins that such an individual could never win. Yet he had two HUGE landslide victories for many of the same reasons we see today.
A lot of people voting were either not alive, or too young back in 1980 and 1984 to remember.
But I do and the same issues face us today.
it gives me hope when I see so many millions of new voters coming our and voting in the GOP primaries. I believe this will be amplified in the general election.
Ronald Reagan talked positive about America and had a commitment you could sense and feel to making good on his promises to re-establish the shining city on a hill.
Trump’s message is similar. If people believe he will do it...they will turn out and vote for him, just as they did for Reagan.

Leave it to Jebbie to say something like this. I kind of miss Jebbie dropping out. One could count on him to insert some humor, a contrast to Cruz's anger. There was Jebbie on his tippytoes, Jebbie's black hand, Jebbie's Mexican bowls, etc.
As for being unpredictable, Jebbie has had his moments such as supporting Cruz. And that black hand was out of the blue.
To: C19fan
Jeb! went on to say that when Presidents engage in covert fatal operations ordered by the global force that got them elected, it should all be done BEHIND THE SCENES so that the president himself has the appearance of a predictable leader.

These media guys kill me. Remember when they described Kerry as nuanced? That meant he would be allowed spin his words however he wanted.
Anyone listening to Trump understood what he meant.
Wolf needs to stop being so literal, and then acting confused. I hate when people do that.

Nixon's foreign policy and military moves were unpredictable on purpose. He wanted the North Vietnamese and Soviets to think he was crazy. It was called "The Madman Strategy," and it worked.
Of course there is the possibility that Nixon really was a madman.

Our enemies should NOT be able to predict what we will do. They should be terrified and timid in dealing with us. They should never know what is “too far”.

More importantly, Bush is probably doing this interview with hopes he is in the running at a contested convention.
