Donald Trump could amass most primary votes in GOP history
NY Post ^ | April 27, 2016

Donald Trump will likely wind up winning the most primary votes of any GOP presidential candidate in modern history, the author of the influential Smart Politics blog told The Post on Wednesday.

After convincing victories in Tuesday’s primaries in five East Coast states, Trump has roughly 10.1 million votes, about 200,000 more than Mitt Romney got during the entire 2012 primary campaign.

And with the primaries ahead — including in populous states such as California, New Jersey and Indiana — the former “Apprentice” reality TV star should easily break the modern record of 10.8 million held by George W. Bush in 2000, according to blogger Eric Ostermeier, a political science professor at the University of Minnesota.

“In an election cycle with a high Republican turnout, his numbers are rising, even more so now that there’s only three candidates” left in the GOP race, he said.

Right now the GOP has over 24,000,000 votes, while the Democrats have 21,000,000 in all the primaries. I believe that Trump will get all those Republican primary votes, peel a few from the BernTards, and roll to a 45 State victory in the General Election.

Which shows that the statistic is meaningless. Bush got the most votes of any GOP primary campaign and came within a court decision of losing to Gore.

The only vote that counts is in NOV. You can win all the primary votes available, that does not mean you win the Nov vote. RINO Romney proved that.

I wonder if we’ll see “ Hillary Clinton, the woman who couldn’t satisfy her own husband” in news stories?

And everybody knows Hillary is just as popular a candidate as Gore was, coming off of the Clinton administration!

Oh, wait.

I think the last time I voted for the eventual nominee in the primary was also the first primary in which I was eligible to vote. That would have been Reagan in 1980. Maybe this will be the second time.

People who think Trump can’t beat Hillary are delusional. He already dealt a death blow in his speech yesterday. She won’t recover. He’s been attacking Bill for NAFTA. He will meter out these hits like Chinese water torture. Trump is adaptable to whatever the battlefield presents. That is his unique strength - it’s a strength no other candidate has.

I love watching him work - fools everyone into thinking he’s sloppy and inept - then plows them down like a bulldozer against a gnat.

I’m a Cruz supporter. I think he’s a good man and I think some of Trumpkins are absolute scumbags for the level of attacks on him. That being said, at some point, the party is going to have to show some ethics and get behind Trump as the rightful nominee.

You are right. When it comes to poll ratings among women, married women, Blacks, Hispanics, millennials, college educated, you name it, Clinton's are worse then every single candidate in the race except for...

Oh, wait.

Clinton does not have a majority of white women, married women black or white, or white men. Hillary has the young and naive, the college indoctrinated, the gimme class, the privileged class, the government workers and those who feed off the government.
