Ex-Trump aide: Carly Fiorina brings nothing
bostonherald.com ^ | Chris Cassidy

Posted on 04/28/2016 4:22:40 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

“This is a guy who stepped out of an airplane without a parachute and just invited Carly Fiorina along,” said GOP strategist Patrick Griffin. “This thing has moved on to the general election. I don’t know how much longer he does this.”

*snip*

Fiorina also lacks unique or deep ties to Indiana or many of the other remaining primary states, except California, where she lost a U.S. Senate race in 2010 by 10 points.

“It’s one of the few cards he’s got left to play to really change the conversation people are having,” said Chris Galdieri, a political science professor at St. Anselm College. “The good news is we’re talking about Cruz. The bad news is a lot of people are just sort of scratching their heads.”

Former Trump operative Roger Stone flatly rejected the idea Fiorina will benefit Cruz in any way.

“She brings you no delegate votes, plus layoffs (at HP), plus outsourcing (at HP), plus a golden parachute. It’s almost like a (Mitt) Romney-like narrative for the Democrats, seems to be a layup,” Stone told Boston Herald Radio. “I don’t know why would you bring in Carly Fiorina, she brings you nothing.”

Cruz is desperately running out of remaining delegates and real estate. Next Tuesday’s Indiana primary is critical with 57 delegates up for grabs and Trump leading several polls by between 5 percent and 8 percent.

Snarly brings nothing to sCruz, so why would he pick her...and why now?

I'll wager he was told to do it by his wealthy KTP donors, the same ones who propped up Fiorina with a 500K donation last summer.

I still wonder about that. He is probably spending a lot more than $500,000 a day with all his bribes.

Notice the children being used as props.

Shameful.

Wow, tiny owl your post is spot on. I was thinking the same thoughts.
Perhaps one good outcome could be that the 2 little girls for the past month or so seem somewhat happier and better adjusted — maybe having 2 moms is helpful.

So she has her girl keep quiet about something Cruz doesn’t want known, and in exchange gets to use the embers of his dead campaign to promote her own political future?

She cost Crooze $500K.

What is she giving Crooze in return?

Maybe being from Mexico you haven't followed things clearly enough. Ted has no ideas, no plan; he's just against Trump. He's the Anointed King; his part is to take the wealth of the ungodly and give it to the priests to distribute to the congregation. And to usher in the North American Union where national borders are blurred and decisions are made for corporate profit not for the peons.

The fundamental problem here is that she’s got the same actual chances of being the VP nominee as I do.

So it really doesn’t matter what she brought to the table at this point - it’s too little, too late. Cruz and Kasich are mathematically eliminated, and state after state is now casting solid outright majorities for Trump.

Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee for President of the United States right now, right this very instant. It’s not an “almost” thing, we are there presently. While some unprecedented outcome may happen in the primary states yet to be held, that’s not a reasonable expectation due to the remoteness of the possibility.

In this context, Cruz announcing a VP pick and Fiorina accepting is a bizarre, break-from-reality event. This is not sane behavior, for either one of them. This makes most normal people look at it and say “who ARE you people”? It’s weird and not in an interesting sort of way, more like a psychologically unhinged sort of way.

I don’t think taking the wealth from the wicked and giving it to the priests is much of a workable plan especially when the people of your own party can’t stand you. Carly’s little song was a bit on the creepy side but maybe she can find out why Cruz’s oldest daughter can’t seem to stand him or want him to touch her. That’s creepy too.

Looking at Carly, the term, “The Common Scold” comes to mind. Listening to her remarks after the announcement, with her mean, pouty, bitchy, scoldy, demeanor; I wondered what in blazes Cruz was thinking!

Add to that, her strange facial expressions as she speaks; her weird head and shoulder ducks and swerves. It’s almost like the Tourette’s Syndrome shucks and jives and facial grimmaces Kaysick goes through when speaking, except not quite as pronounced. And then the scathing, scolding, things that usually make up whatever she has to say. Cruz; what the #&%? were you thinking?!

One thought kept swirling around in my mind as she spoke: Howdja like to be married to that?! Oh dear God; please, no, never!

What Snarly is getting out of it is something you mentioned upthread.

She's getting earned media for her career, political or otherwise, from the last remaining flicker of life in the Cruz campaign.

If I had to guess, I would say it was Snarly's decision to force Ted to announce her Veepness before he had to finally throw in the towel.

She's got til Indiana to stay in front of the cameras.

“In this context, Cruz announcing a VP pick and Fiorina accepting is a bizarre, break-from-reality event.”

I prefer Cruz over Trump (but will happily vote for either) but this has me scratching my head. I really can’t figure out what motivated Cruz to do this; he’s run a very smart and calculated campaign so far, which is why he got to the #2 position in the primary. The ONLY thing I can think of that really makes sense is if he found out that Kasich is going to take the VP slot for Trump and this is some kind of preemptive action, but even that doesn’t seem like it will help him.

Honestly, I think he needs her money. I don’t know how much his campaign has, but I am sure the donations are drying up. I think he hopes a win in Indiana will boost the donations.

Sewing two dead horses together will not give you Seabiscuit.

Yes, but now that Ted picked ol' horse face, at least they have both ends.

I’m just saying they seem like two people nature intended to sleep together and scheme together. Maybe Ted admires that she extorted 500K from him because it was clever and didn’t break the rules. Those two things could be a strong foundation the kind of trust that only comes with mutual but equivalent distrust and an ability to ruin each other.
