Yes, Stormy and Windy have flown the coop. I miss their antics.

A pair of ospreys have checked out the nest a couple of times this week and we’re waiting to see if they take up residence this year. That would be nice!

Good evening, radu...weird, weird day. And then the internet went down at 6p straight up.

Maintenance is usually done on Thursday night and they let us know ahead of time. More weirdness.

We’re glad that missed us too!
It was 5 years ago today that we were hit by a tornado and there are still a few leaning trees that need to be cut down and burned from that. It was almost a year cutting up and burning all the trees that were blown over that day.

It didn’t sound like anyone had been hurt during tonight’s storms. Most likely trees down here and there. I’m almost tempted to head over there tonight to check out the area where the nursing home is.

Well, wonder why they decided to work on it tonight, and without warning. Unless something else knocked the internet out.

Ours was out yesterday morning but since I was asleep, I didn’t notice. LOL! But Hubby was hacked because that’s when he’s usually on.

Looking forward to tomorrow? :-)

I really am. I’m really looking forward to getting things off This List.

And giving him a look at life these days. He’s got a good idea, but maybe he will have idea after seeing through fresh eyes.

We were EXTREMELY lucky. The funnel didn’t make it all the way to the ground but was close enough to twist the tops of a few trees. The ground-level winds were straight-line and absolutely horrendous!
The storm chased me home and I’d just gotten out of the car when all h*** broke loose. I just stood there in the carport, stunned by the roar and by the sound of wood breaking all around. Then like someone hit a switch, it stopped. I was afraid to open the door to go inside because I didn’t know if any of that wood-breaking noise was the house being torn apart.

It wasn’t. The house was unscathed somehow. But trees were blown over all around and the tractor shed roof was ripped off.
One huge tree ripped our water line out of the ground when it went over. The pipe was tangled in the roots. And another tore the power line off the front of the house when it went down so we didn’t have power for a few days.

Aunt Clara was still living here and I ran to her side of the house to check on her. She was in her recliner and had slept through the whole thing! ROTFL!!!

I did panic over the outside cats but one by one, they showed up at the back porch. All had come through just fine, though very soggy.

We had a mess to deal with but it could have been a lot worse.

Like I said, we were EXTREMELY lucky.

Yep, you and your brother will have plenty to keep you busy but it’s at HOME, not at WORK. That kinda busy makes it different.

I know he wants to hang with buddies while he’s there but his schedule BETTER have plenty of time to help with The List. Time for someone to share the load. :-)

Hearing what’s been going on and seeing it with one’s own eyes are a big difference. It’s been a little while since he was there and things have changed.

You’ll have fun chatting and catching up while you pick away at The List. Did you put the heavy-lifting stuff at the top of the list and label it “Top Priority”?

Hello Kathy! Just finished a bit of a sweep of the Carolina's. Charlotte to Augusta,Ga. to Asheville via Fuquay Varina
and back to Charlotte.

Quite a few miles. Always good to see the Canteen Open!

This is Sierra Nevada Brewery in Asheville. I put the data center in here and ladders to the second floor was the direction of travel, muddy as all get out 4 years ago. God Bless

I was listening to the Joe Pags Show out of San Antonio last night. All of a sudden he said, “Can you that? It’s hail”!!

Then a bit latter he said one of the ladies on with him was outside in the parking lot checking for hail damage.
