The day Biden dropped out, I discussed the scenario in which he would ride in on his white horse and save the party. If that is what happens, it is a brilliant move between Obama and Biden. Uncle Joe would not have had to spend money and would have had to endure the Clinton slime team, who would have gone for his jugular. He can pick up the pieces at the last minute and run unscathed by the primary process.

I am suspicious of a Biden scenario. Thus, Hillary is left in the primaries long enough to make sure that Bernie can’t win on the first ballot. Biden would be a very popular alternative and probably the worst case for the Republicans.

There would be the little matter of getting Uncle Joe on state ballots past the deadlines. At least in states controlled by Republicans.
