Fed-up GOP mega-donors sitting on their checkbooks

Republican mega-donors, increasingly fed up with their party’s circus-like presidential primary, are sitting on their checkbooks until the nominee is decided.

GOP campaigns and super-PACs saw dismal fundraising figures in March. John Kasich’s campaign took in $4.5 million and his supporting super-PAC $2.8 million for the month — numbers Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders’s campaign can beat on a good day.

And Ted Cruz isn't doing much better. After a strong start, the pro-Cruz super-PAC's income has slowed to a trickle, and his campaign took in just $12.5 million in March — less than half of Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton’s campaign haul and about a quarter of Sanders’s total.

“Somebody should be indicted over Right to Rise,” he added, referring to the super-PAC that spent more than $100 million in a failed attempt to make Bush the Republican nominee.

“I would sue them for fraud.

“The Bush donors coming across to support Cruz in Dallas, and there are a lot of them, they are not stepping up with the money because they already shot their wad,” Deason added. “They got totally screwed.”

A Trump/Cruz alliance...ends a lot of “problems”.

Looks like a shotgun wedding is needed.

Okay...a fuel air bomb wedding.

But it is needed.

Jedi.

Next time they should listen to voters instead of trying to manipulate voters.
Hollywood will be the next mega-donors to get slapped by voters.

Maybe and maybe not. It might bring in some but on the other hand it may turn off others. Perhaps Dr. Carson, though I personally see him as weak (should something happen to Trump), though very smart. But the upside would be 2 outsiders with very little history, and it may even bring in more black voters.

At this point, Cruz brings nothing to the ticket.

It's the committed people on the ground that Cruz brings to the ticket. Less than 2% of people really vote on the Veep.

The Cruzaders would be a very valuable asset to have...but they really can't be bought or bribed too easily.

Trust me.

There needs to be an alliance of the willing and as soon as possible.

It's the only way to insure victory. Commitment.

Jedi.

Somebody get Ted a Star Wars Rebel Alliance sticker and place it on his forehead for a few moments.

That should do.

heh.

Money is the homey of a Political Campaign

I imagine the cost for 1 day funding the Cruz campaign is staggering

When I was in college I always wondered what all the kids who were majoring in Political Science planned to do for a living.

Now I know. They become hangers-on to these campaigns, drawing a paycheck for pretending to do something important.

Yes it is. Bless their little hearts. A lot of money burned for no good reason.

The Cheap Labor Express can keep their money, we will elect Trump without them.

And those check books will stay closed. The loyalty of these mega-donors is not to the Republican party, nor even to the United States, but to the Chamber of Commerce, now dominated by multinational corporations.

As one of the Koch brothers recently noted, he thinks it might be more to his advantage to support Hillary over Trump.

Hopefully Trump with kick these mega-donors in the newts, and end their push to internationalist corporatocracy.

That’s ok, the corporate donors are the money that really matters anyway. They’ll make up the difference. Minuscule as it is in relation.

How much of Cruz's much-talked-about "ground game", is really the GOP-E throwing in with Cruz to stop Trump?

Aw, c'mon guys, you need to keep pouring money into Cruz's (and Jeb's) campaigns!
You've got to keep giving! It's the only way to save America!

(I've been praying that the globalists have their money "sprout wings and fly away" & that their plans come to utter ruination.)

When Cruz announces Carly as his VP choice today, his political career will be finished.

That level of mental masturbation in public is not well tolerated by voters.

OTOH, if he is wise enough to step down today, his career will continue for the future.

We will see this afternoon.
