MANCHESTER, N.H. —Texas Sen. Ted Cruz will announce on Wednesday afternoon that former presidential rival Carly Fiorina has agreed to be his running mate should he win the GOP presidential nomination.

Sources confirmed to WMUR political director Josh McElveen and political reporter John DiStaso that Fiorina, who has been a supporter of Cruz for several weeks, will be the focus of the announcement that Cruz intends to make in Indiana Wednesday afternoon.

Proof the open border big money as well as Common Core funders are backing Cruz.

[snip]September 17, 2015 CARLY ALERT!!! Birds of Feather? Cheap Labor & Common Core

[snip] Earlier today I read about a Craig Barrett who held a private fundraiser for Fiorina on Sept. 10th in Arizona. He is the chief Common Core pusher in AZ and Board member/ Chairman of Achieve Inc., the Common Core standards architects.

But I just found that this guy Barrett also heads Intel and the push for more foreign workers. The fundraiser featured Former US Sen. Jon Kyl...who in 2007 with Ted Kennedy and McCain was one of the senators to write Bush’s amnesty. Carly is in bed with the enemy!

The largest donation to the Fiorina super PAC — close to $1.6 million — came from Jerry Perenchio, the former CEO of Univision and national finance co-chairman for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign with deep ties to California.” http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/31/politics/carly-fiorina-super-pac/

A couple years ago, TTC told you that CARLY also did her share of hispandering during her failed California Senate run. She is tied up with PRO Amnesty lobbyists, like Grover Norquist.

In other groundbreaking news, Cruz is widely expected to announce he’s switching from Pepsi to Coke.

When Carly was one of the 17 candidates, the main thing that pissed me off was her implication that she rose up from the very bottom to become CEO. She said she started as a “lowly secretary” try to make us believe her upbringing was blue-collar, low income.

She grew up in a well-to-do family and lived a charmed life. If she truly was a secretary, she was slumming.

Her father was a professor at the University of Texas School of Law; Dean of Duke University School of Law; Deputy U.S. Attorney General; and judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

As someone who did climb the career ladder, starting as secretary, from a true low-income childhood, this kind of crap from her is insulting.

It is a pointless (IMHO) gesture at this point.

CNN is showing Trump with 52 total delegates likely in PA:

http://edition.cnn.com/election/primaries/states/pa/Rep

Current delegate count according to them, and I have found them to be fairly accurate is:

Trump: 991
Cruz: 568
Kasich: 154

http://edition.cnn.com/election/

As I predicted on the Primary Thread yesterday, Trump got over 100 of the delegates last night.

I expect he will go well over the top (probably by 50 or more delegates at this point), on June 7th.

If Cruz is interested in the GOP (without any “e”) winning in November, then he needs to concede next week after Trump (in all likelihood) takes Indiana.

I pray to God that is what he will do. He has the power to:

1) Unite the party by so doing.
2) Deliver a huge blow to the GOPe by so doing.
3) Set up for a big GOP NOvember win.

My Open Letter to Ted Cruz
http://www.jeffhead.com/Cruz-ltr.htm

I say all of this as one who has diligently supported Cruz...but recognizes the truth of the situation and the absolute need to defeeat the Dems in November.

[He’s teaming up with “Outsourcing Carly” in a state where the biggest story is Carrier moving its plant to Mexico.]

Brilliant move yet again, Ted.

Ted has completely destroyed any credibility he might once have had.

He’s shown America what he’s truly made of: underhanded, sneaky, ahd beyond tone-deaf. As someone said, the first two words out of his mouth are “Donald Trump.....” followed by yet another slam.

He can’t be gone too soon for me. Fade away Ted, and take your paid GOPe operatives with you.

First, let me say this may all be academic. Trump is on track for a first ballot victory. It’s do or die for Cruz in Indiana, and even if Cruz were to pull an upset there, Trump has other ways to the magic number.

Cruz poses a big problem for Republicans in the northeast. He, like Trump, motivates the other side (Cruz on ideology and Trump on personality). Kasich, who hasn’t been getting much attention, wipes out Hillary nationwide and in many states. I think Kasich shows our real potential, if we unite as a party. But, is Kasich the best white knight? He has finessed his way to this point in the process by not doing much. He’s maybe too moderate for either Cruz or Trump’s people. So, I myself thought Greg Abbott would make the right kind of white knight a couple days ago.

There is no guarantee that Cruz gets the nomination on the second ballot. Even among his double-agents are many solid conservatives interested in us putting forth the best candidate. So, here’s what I’ll say: First ballot - Trump. Second ballot - Cruz. Third ballot - all bets are off.

Susana Martinez works well with her state legislature and helped the GOP increase its seats, even taking the state House of Representatives.

We could do worse.

Trump-Martinez like Cruz-Forinia “balance” the ticket in many ways. Ideology (within our party), region, gender, race/ethnicity, and politics/business background.

Trump-Martiniz features two people with genuine charisma. Cruz-Fiorina features two people who come across as analytical (to those who like them) (or cold or unlikable, to others).

I don’t know either. If she’s not, I imagine after a short time with Trump she would learn. She has at least as much executive experience as Palin. She’s the head of the GOP Governors Association. But I think her appeal to women and Hispanics would be unbeatable.

“Trump-Martinez like Cruz-Forinia “balance” the ticket in many ways. Ideology (within our party), region, gender, race/ethnicity, and politics/business”

There are so many great things about this choice. The first Hispanic VP...the first woman VP, the first Hispanic woman governor, a 2 term Governor, strong on illegal immigration.

Martinez signed an executive order rescinding sanctuary status for illegal immigrants who commit crimes in New Mexico.

an expansion of Katie’s Law, which will require law-enforcement officials to obtain DNA samples from all suspects booked on felony charges”

And she is popular in a swing state we will need. After winning the absolute swing states of Florida, North Carolina, Virginia and Ohio or Pennsylvania, we still need 4 EV’s. The 2 easiest will be New Hampshire or New Mexico.

If Trump wins I’d hope to see Ted as the first pick for the US Supreme Court. He’d do us all a lot more good there than in the Senate with a bunch of RINO traitors backstabbing him.

:)

Cruz got 2nd except for about 8 that Rubio got where Cruz was 3rd..

Either Rubio or Carson was 3rd for the rest...

Trump got 36 delegates, Cruz 13, Rubio 1..

You can only shake your head with Cruz picking a VP the night after losing so badly. Maybe after losing Indiana next week he’ll pick his cabinet. After losing California he can start naming ambassador posts.

Sad.
