In the early going it was obvious that Trump didn’t like the teleprompter, but, as he got into the speech he became more comfortable, and hit a whole bunch of good points. Excellent speech.

So Cruz selected Carly Fiorina as running mate. Good choice...but maybe next time.

Rush and Snerdley grading it mostly on presentation. Content is secondary to the EIB studio.

Maybe Rush will cut back to Cruz and Fiorina and tell us what a brilliant move that is toward locking up the nomination.

Yes, I noticed early on that Cruz picks up that same preacher cadence and emphasis that Al Gore used, to the same effect.

More likely it’s that Team Cruz polished his ego and Team Trump didn’t. Rush is highly susceptible to flattery.

Hey Rush...any thoughts on Cruz hiring Neil Bush? Of course not...doesn’t fit your B.S. narrative now does it!

With the moves she pulled at Lucent she cost me half my nest-egg after I retired.
She is a waste of human flesh.

I’m trying to figure out what it might be that would become him. My mind blanks.

“Cruz to announce Fiorina as his running mate.”

That is guaranteed to cost him the support of HP alumni.

They didn’t turn when they crossed the Potomac.

They lied about being conservative when they ran for office in the first place.

I thought it was likely fake.

How do you go from being a Trump supporter, who is winning, to supporting someone who has already lost?

I can’t imagine why anyone would support Cruz at this point. The off chance that he might be able to make up the huge delegate gap that currently exists at a contested convention versus the GOP powers that being deciding to install their white knight is a risk that is not worth taking.

If Cruz has proven one thing, it’s that he is not capable of uniting people behind him. He has not demonstrated that he is a leader, and voters have demonstrated to him that they are not going to follow him.

I will not vpte for Trump, but Cruz choosing Failarina as VP, I may not vote for him, either. I may just sit the entire thing out.

Trump is very smart. He hasn’t won the nomination, he hasn’t beaten Hillary and Obummer is far from being out of office, but Trump is doing speeches as if he is the President...lol. Great move in my opinion.

The late mother of my first cousin’s husband had stock in Lucent Technology years ago.

He told me a long time ago about how the ctock price collapsed.

I wondered how that could happen to what was supposed to be a highly-flying tech company.

Eventually, I learned Carly is what happened.

It’s not a good choice.

She had zero support in this primary.

She brings nothing to the table but more unlikability, something that Cruz already has truckloads of.

Furthermore, there is no point in picking a running mate when you’re not going to be running.

He should start an “Office of the Presumptive Republican Nominee.”
