This time it really is the end of Trump. Really.
That was the title of the E.J. Dionne's column in the April 3 Washington Post. It was so spectacularly wrong in its prognostications that it really does deserve an award. Really. If only Dionne's column had been published two days earlier he could at least save some face by claiming it was just an April Fools joke. Unfortunately for Dionne, he doesn't have that out and will forever be known for perhaps the most hilariously wrong political predictions now and forever unto the end of time. It wouldn't be so bad for Dionne if his column had been merely a very tentative set of possible unfavorable outcomes for Trump. Instead, Dionne declared Trump to be flat out finished in a manner just oozing with smug arrogance as was reflected in his column title:

I think she would be doing exactly that but for Bernie. Bernie is really the interesting player here, not for being Bernie, but for his potentially enormous effect on the outcome.
They could print that darned-near every day.
My parents and both sets of grandparents also thought that Dewey actually won.
wishful thinking + emotionalism + rationalization = wrong predictions
“I just love it when preening, self-loving, pious scumbags decide to self-destruct right in front of you. EJ Dionne is a fag.”
Yeah, it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood today! This morning, the Media Pr1cks and Pr1ckettes are all a twitter about how it’s “still not over!” It’s just amazing what they will do to keep up their ratings. Like Newt said last night, if Trump were Romney, he’d already be the “presumptive nominee,” and sCruze and K-sick would be gone.
Again.
It is apropos to the resident.
“It is apropos to the resident.”
That doesn’t lessen the perjorative nature of the term.
He’s not the only mixed race person in America. I’m one myself, but it’s got nothing to do with what’s in my heart and soul.
The term was directed at a single person - Obamma; not a group or class. I wish there were only more pejorative terms that I could use
“The term was directed at a single person - Obamma; not a group or class.”
Well why not just call him a nigger? I’m a nigger too, so I guess I shouldn’t be insulted if you call him that.
Why are you trying to start something that ain’t going to happen? You are making this way too personal; if you are “offended”, block my posts. My disagreement is with the half breed in the WH; nobody else.
Have a nice day.
You used a racial slur. Most people consider it bad form, and even insulting.
You could have just owned up to it, and that would have been that, but you just have to be right about it, so here we are - still talking.
This is my last word. You consider it a racial slur what I said. Fine, that’s your opinion. Everything these days seems to be a racial slur. At this rate, we will be back to grunts and groans like Neanderthals because every word is considered racist.
Have a nice day.
“You consider it a racial slur what I said. Fine, thats your opinion.”
It’s not my opinion. It’s an ugly racial slur, and any adult with an I.Q. over room temperature, knows it.
You screwed up and blurted out something on a public forum, without stopping to think that there just might be people of mixed race backgrounds reading here.
You could have simply dropped a mea culpa and moved on, but no. You just can’t find it within your narrow mind to accept that you made an error and insulted another Freeper.
No problem. Make yourself right when you know you’re in the wrong..
