I live next door to that district (less than a mile). Raskin is FAR worse than most

Any possibility a (gasp!) Republican could win that district?

Wow! Trone suddenly jumped up to first place. Oh, and Mrs. Chris Matthews is still a third place LOSER.

Trone now leading in MD-8 Dem primary; Trone 33%, Raskin 30%, Matthews 24% with 36% reporting— Jamie Dupree (@jamiedupree) April 27, 2016

That didn't last long. Raskin now back on top but at least Mrs. Chris Matthews remains a third place LOSER.

Raskin now back in the lead in Dem MD-8, with 87% of precincts reporting, Raskin 33%, Trone 27%, Matthews 24%— Jamie Dupree (@jamiedupree) April 27, 2016

I look at it like this, if the Dems are going to elect one of their own, let it be the nuttiest and most polarizing of the bunch. They’re worth more to our side than a quiet, low-key 90% leftist. Given, too, that the Dems are way overextended in their seats in MD, the more divisive a candidate, the better the chance the GOP has (after all, prior to Van Hollen, that was a GOP district).
