Maryland’s districts were gerrymandered after the 2000 elections SPECIFICALLY to drive Rep. Connie Morella (moderate Republican) out of office. Then they were gerrymandered again after the 2010 elections specifically to drive Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (conservative Republican, Western MD) out of office.
