Despite all of the pundits declaring Trump the nominee following tonight's results, he will face a much tougher road ahead than they want to admit.

I think you're right. Ad dollars mean a lot to those folks, and ad dollars depend on listeners. So those two have got to keep the Cruz folks tuning in. Can't do that with mia culpas.

They were steam vents for the GOP machine. If you think about it, they entered the field during the years of Bush ascendancy and American decline. They kept gullible conservatives on the NWO/neocon plantation.
Now, they are failing, and see their displacement approaching.

No, NY did not put Trump over the top. But tonight sure did. The biggest state here is Pennsylvania. Trump got 60% in a state that is one of the three states that Republicans need. Florida and Ohio are the other ones. Trump came in second in Ohio and won Florida. So Cruz is dead. Cruz can’t win past the base. He can’t win white women. And he won’t flip any state. I like Cruz, I think he’s a good man. But he really can’t win outside of the republican party in very conservative states. Trump has now gotten over 60% in 6 straight states. And he leads in the polls in all the other states that have not voted. So this thing is done.
I have zero respect for both guys now.
It appears the contest will be a Marxist running as a democrat against a democrat running as a republican.
